Logistics Manager Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a logistics manager in Florida?
The most direct path is a bachelor's degree in supply chain management, logistics, or business followed by progressive experience in warehousing, transportation, or distribution. Florida does not require a state-issued license to work as a logistics manager, but earning a APICS CSCP or CLTD certification significantly strengthens your candidacy with Florida employers, particularly those tied to port operations, defense logistics, or retail distribution networks.
How much do logistics managers make in Florida?
Logistics managers in Florida earn a median of about $101,570 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $54,490 for the lowest 10% to over $173,950 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire logistics managers in Florida?
Employers hiring logistics managers in Florida right now include Ryder System, IPG, and Flow, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's role as a major trade and distribution hub means logistics managers are also in steady demand at port authorities, aerospace contractors, and large retail and e-commerce fulfillment operators throughout the state.
Which Florida cities have the most logistics manager jobs?
Sarasota, Doral, and Miami account for the largest share of logistics manager openings in Florida. Miami's position as a global trade gateway drives significant volume, while Tampa's growing industrial base and Jacksonville's status as one of the Southeast's busiest freight corridors sustain strong and consistent demand for logistics leadership across both metro areas.
Are there remote logistics manager jobs in Florida?
Yes, but they're rare. Logistics manager work is largely hands-on, requiring oversight of facilities, carriers, and on-site teams, which limits fully remote arrangements. About 27% of logistics manager openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to concentrate in vendor management, supply chain analytics, or customer-facing account coordination roles where daily physical presence is not required.
How can I get hired as a logistics manager in Florida with little or no experience?
Starting as a logistics coordinator, warehouse supervisor, or operations analyst is the most realistic entry point for candidates without direct management experience. Large Florida employers like Amazon, Ryder System, and Home Depot run formal leadership development and operations management trainee programs that promote from within. Earning an APICS CSCP or a supply chain certificate through a Florida state college adds measurable credibility when competing for a first management role.
Where can I find and apply to logistics manager jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to logistics manager jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across freight, distribution, port operations, and supply chain sectors. Find roles that fit your experience and location and apply directly to each employer.
