Tips for Your Logistics Coordinator Job Search
Quantify your coordination wins on resumes
Logistics resumes get cut when they list duties instead of outcomes. Replace phrases like 'managed shipments' with specifics: orders processed per day, error rates reduced, or on-time delivery rates improved. Recruiters in this field respond to numbers.
Highlight your TMS and WMS experience
Many logistics coordinator postings filter candidates by familiarity with specific platforms like SAP, Oracle, or ShipBob. Name every transportation and warehouse management system you've used in a dedicated skills section so automated screeners don't pass you over.
Target postings that match your freight mode
Logistics coordinator roles vary heavily by freight type: LTL, FTL, ocean, air, or last-mile delivery. Read each posting carefully and apply to roles where your freight experience aligns, since interviewers will probe your mode-specific knowledge quickly.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists logistics coordinator openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare for carrier and vendor scenario questions
Interviewers routinely ask how you'd handle a carrier cancellation or delayed customs clearance. Walk through your decision process out loud, naming the stakeholders you'd contact and how you'd document the resolution to show operational maturity.
Negotiate using shift and on-call expectations
Logistics coordinator roles often include weekend coverage or 24-hour carrier escalation duties that aren't in the job title. Confirm on-call expectations before accepting an offer, and factor that into your compensation discussion so there are no surprises after you start.
Logistics Coordinator Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most logistics coordinators?
The companies hiring the most logistics coordinators right now include Caliber Collision, Ryder System, and Penske Truck Leasing, with the largest share of openings in Texas, California, and Florida, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Demand is especially concentrated in e-commerce fulfillment, third-party logistics providers, and large-scale manufacturing operations.
How many logistics coordinator jobs are remote?
About 5% of logistics coordinator openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, which is lower than many office-based roles because the work is closely tied to physical freight and warehouse operations. The sub-areas most likely to offer remote flexibility are customer-facing freight coordination, import and export documentation, and order management roles that rely primarily on digital systems.
How do you become a logistics coordinator?
Start by building foundational knowledge in supply chain operations, either through a degree in business or logistics, a certification like the APICS CSCP, or hands-on warehouse and shipping experience. Learn at least one major transportation management system, since employers screen for platform familiarity early. Entry-level roles in freight brokerage, warehouse receiving, or customer service for a carrier are common starting points that open the door to coordinator titles within a year or two.
Can you get a logistics coordinator job with little experience?
Yes, entry-level logistics coordinator roles exist and often go to candidates with warehouse, shipping, or freight brokerage backgrounds even without a formal supply chain degree. Emphasize any experience tracking shipments, communicating with carriers, or managing inventory, and get familiar with common tools like Excel and basic TMS platforms before applying. Roles at third-party logistics companies and freight brokers are typically the most open to candidates still building their resume.
What does the logistics coordinator interview process look like?
Most logistics coordinator interviews run two to three rounds, starting with a recruiter phone screen focused on your freight or supply chain background. The next stage is usually a hiring manager conversation that includes scenario questions about carrier delays, inventory discrepancies, or customer escalations. Some employers add a short practical exercise, such as reviewing a shipping document or walking through how you'd resolve a customs hold, before extending an offer.
Where can I find and apply to logistics coordinator jobs?
You can find and apply to logistics coordinator jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States in one place. Search the listings to find roles that match your freight mode experience, location preference, and seniority level, then apply directly to each listing that fits.
