INTRODUCTION

Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS Specialist to support Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) operations at a rapidly growing advanced manufacturing facility. This role will assist in implementing and maintaining a comprehensive EHS management system across manufacturing, testing, storage, and operational activities.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in high-reliability industrial environments and brings a strong understanding of regulatory compliance, risk mitigation, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure safe and compliant operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Support daily EHS operations across manufacturing, testing, warehousing, and facility functions
- Assist with implementation and continuous improvement of the EHS management system
- Conduct facility inspections, safety observations, and risk assessments
- Help develop and enforce EHS policies, procedures, and work instructions
- Support Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), standard operating procedures, and emergency response plans
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable federal, state, and local regulations
- Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action tracking
- Maintain documentation required for audits, reporting, and regulatory compliance
- Contribute to internal audits, safety initiatives, and continuous improvement programs
- Support hazard identification and mitigation across manufacturing and operational processes
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including engineering, operations, and facilities
- Assist with EHS reporting, KPI tracking, and safety performance analysis
Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or a related field (required)
- Relevant EHS certifications (e.g., ASP, CSP, CHMM) are a plus
Experience:
- A minimum of 3–7 years of experience in EHS within manufacturing, industrial, or technical environments
- Working knowledge of OSHA regulations and standard safety practices
- Experience with hazard assessments, incident investigations, and corrective actions
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in advanced manufacturing, aerospace, energy, or similar regulated industries
- Familiarity with hazardous materials, chemical safety, or high-energy systems
- Knowledge of environmental compliance programs and permitting requirements
- Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO 45001 standards
- Exposure to facility startup, expansion, or high-growth operational environments
Soft Skills:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively within cross-functional teams
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Meticulous attention to detail to ensure accuracy in documentation and reporting
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment
Technology Stack:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- EHS management and reporting systems
- Incident tracking and compliance software (as applicable)
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in both office and industrial/manufacturing environments
- Ability to use a computer for extended periods
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to walk production floors and access operational areas as needed
- Occasional lifting of up to 25–30 pounds
- Ability to perform inspections, including climbing stairs or ladders as needed
