Work you'll do/Responsibilities
As a Full stack .NET Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining mission-critical web applications and scalable APIs. In this role, you will seamlessly bridge the gap between robust backend architecture and responsive, user-centric frontend interfaces. You will collaborate cross-functionally with product and engineering teams to deliver high-performance software solutions that drive operational efficiency and align with our strategic business objectives within the financial and insurance sectors.
- Full-Lifecycle Development: Design, implement, and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant web applications using C#, .NET (Core / .NET 8), and modern web frameworks tailored for high-volume financial transactions.
- Frontend Engineering: Develop responsive, accessible, and dynamic user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript/TypeScript alongside leading component-based frameworks (e.g., Angular, React, or Vue.js).
- API & Architecture Design: Architect RESTful APIs and microservices, writing highly optimized, clean, and testable code that strictly adheres to SOLID principles and standard design patterns.
- Database Integration: Architect efficient database schemas, write advanced T-SQL queries, and utilize Object-Relational Mappers (e.g., Entity Framework Core) within Microsoft SQL Server to ensure ACID compliance across distributed systems.
- Performance Tuning: Proactively optimize system performance, debug complex backend configurations, and resolve latency bottlenecks to meet strict Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
- CI/CD & DevOps Collaboration: Support automated deployment pipelines by utilizing version control (Git) and build automation tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions) with a focus on secure, compliant deployment practices.
- Agile Collaboration & Quality Assurance: Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (daily stand-ups, sprint planning) and elevate team code quality through rigorous peer code reviews and architectural discussions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and provide constructive feedback to uphold engineering standards and maintainable code.
- Partner closely with product managers and interoperability (interop) leads to ensuring technical solutions align with healthcare needs and integration expectations.
- Communicate regularly with Engagement Managers (Directors), project team members, and representatives from various functional and / or technical teams, including escalating any matters that require additional attention and consideration from engagement management
- Independently and collaboratively lead client engagement workstreams focused on improvement, optimization, and transformation of processes including implementing leading practice workflows, addressing deficits in quality, and driving operational outcomes

Qualifications
Required
- 3+ years of experience in .Net Full Stack Development
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, including mandatory experience developing enterprise-grade applications in highly regulated industries (e.g., Financial Services, Insurance, or Banking)
- Secure Coding Practices: Demonstrated expertise in secure software development lifecycles (SSDLC), mitigating OWASP Top 10 vulnerabilities, and handling sensitive data (PII/NPI) with rigorous encryption and compliance standards
- Core Languages & Frameworks: Deep technical proficiency in C# and the .NET ecosystem (.NET Core / .NET 5+), with a strong command of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and asynchronous programming patterns.
- Frontend Proficiency: Hands-on experience developing Single Page Applications (SPAs) using modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks.
- Databases & Transactional Integrity: Expert-level knowledge of relational database design (Microsoft SQL Server), data access technologies (Entity Framework, ADO.NET), and ensuring data integrity across complex financial workflows.
- Testing Frameworks: Proven track record of writing reliable unit and integration tests using industry-standard frameworks (e.g., xUnit, NUnit, or MSTest) to ensure zero-defect releases for critical systems.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred
- Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with specific FSI workflows, such as claim processing, underwriting life cycles, policy administration, or payment gateways.
- Compliance Frameworks: Working knowledge of industry-specific data privacy frameworks such as PCI-DSS, GLBA, or SOX.
- Cloud Architecture: Hands-on experience building, deploying, and scaling cloud-native applications in Microsoft Azure (App Services, Azure Functions, Cosmos DB) or AWS.
- Containerization: Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, or similar container orchestration platforms. Analytical/ Decision Making Responsibilities
- Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
- Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
- Excellent Written and Communication Skills
