Developer Jobs in Irving: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a developer job in Irving?
Focus your search on Irving's Las Colinas district, where financial services firms, telecom companies, and enterprise software houses concentrate most of their technical hiring. Candidates who pair strong backend or full-stack skills with experience in regulated industries, particularly fintech or data infrastructure, stand out locally. Applying directly to Irving-based corporate headquarters rather than staffing agencies tends to move faster in this market.
Which companies hire developers in Irving?
Employers hiring developers in Irving right now include Wipro, Capgemini, and Citi, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Irving attracts a mix of large corporate headquarters and mid-size technology firms, especially those serving financial services and communications sectors.
Are there remote developer jobs in Irving?
Yes, though availability varies by specialization. About 62% of developer openings tied to Irving are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how common desk-based development work is relative to on-site roles. In Irving specifically, cloud engineering, backend development, and data roles tend to offer the most flexibility, while infrastructure and on-premises systems roles typically require a local presence.
How can I get a developer job in Irving with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Irving is targeting junior developer or associate software engineer roles at the mid-size technology and financial services firms headquartered in Las Colinas, which hire entry-level candidates more consistently than large enterprises. Building project experience in fintech or data tooling, completing contract or internship stints with Irving-area employers, and pursuing roles with titles like junior developer or QA engineer can open the door before moving into full development positions.
Which industries hire the most developers in Irving?
Most developer openings in Irving sit in Technology & Software, Education, and Construction & Real Estate, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Irving's concentration of financial technology headquarters and major telecommunications infrastructure along the Las Colinas corridor drives consistent technical hiring across those sectors.
