Director of Business Development, West Coast
UOVO is seeking an experienced sales professional with a meaningful track record of successfully identifying, pursuing, and executing attractive sales opportunities, developing and leading key initiatives in a results focused salary+commission/bonus sales environment. The Director of Business Development will generate new business by cultivating relationships with prospective clients through prospecting, site visits, attending industry functions and company sponsored events. The Director of Business development will generate deals that appropriately balance clients needs with business goals and objectives. They will collaborate with executive staff on strategic direction and play a meaningful role in ensuring a consistent sales and leasing experience across company locations.
The Director of Business Development, Mountain West is responsible for developing new business, expanding client relationships, and driving revenue across UOVO’s storage and specialized services. This role leads business development efforts, manages strategic opportunities, and partners with internal teams to support complex projects and client needs.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop new business opportunities across art, fashion, collectibles, and related industries.
- Drive revenue through storage leasing and specialized services, including art handling, international shipping, and project management.
- Identify, qualify, and manage prospective clients, strategic partnerships, and large-scale opportunities.
- Lead RFP responses, proposals, estimates, and client presentations.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, partners, and industry contacts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop project plans, pricing, and service solutions.
- Maintain accurate pipeline records, sales forecasts, and business development reporting.
- Support sales strategy, processes, and team development.
- Travel as needed, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Adhering to all company policies, procedures, and business ethics codes of conduct.
- Any other projects or tasks assigned by manager.
Qualifications & Skills
- 7–10+ years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic services, preferably within fine art logistics, storage, or related industries.
- Established network within the art, fashion, collectibles, or luxury markets.
- Experience developing new business, managing complex opportunities, and negotiating contracts.
- Strong RFP, proposal writing, presentation, and project coordination skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate across teams.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and sales reporting tools.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods.
- Ability to walk through storage facilities and project sites as needed.
- Ability to travel for client meetings, site visits, and business development activities.
- Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as business needs require.

UOVO offers competitive compensation, commensurate with experience.

COMPENSATION & INCENTIVE STRUCTURE
This position offers a $60,000 base salary with an annual target earning opportunity of approximately $60,000 in commissions and performance-based incentives, for a total target compensation of approximately $120,000.
