Quality Program Manager Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a quality program manager in Colorado?
Most quality program managers in Colorado enter through a bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, or a related technical discipline followed by several years in quality assurance or engineering roles. Colorado does not require a state-issued license for the role, but the American Society for Quality credentials, particularly the Certified Quality Engineer and Certified Manager of Quality, are widely expected by Colorado's aerospace, defense, and medical device employers and often required for mid-level positions.
Which companies hire quality program managers in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring quality program managers in Colorado include Lockheed Martin, Meta, and Softek, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's concentration of aerospace primes, defense contractors, and medical technology firms makes it one of the more consistent states for quality program management hiring throughout the year.
Which Colorado cities have the most quality program manager jobs?
Littleton, Denver, and Arvada hold the most quality program manager openings in Colorado. Denver drives volume through its large aerospace and defense contractor base, Boulder attracts openings tied to semiconductor and software quality, and Colorado Springs sees consistent demand from defense installations and the contractors that support them, including significant program management work linked to nearby military commands.
Are there remote quality program manager jobs in Colorado?
Yes, but they are less common than in purely desk-based fields because quality program managers in Colorado's core industries often need on-site supplier audits, production floor access, and in-person program reviews. About 40% of quality program manager openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the remote share concentrated in quality systems, documentation governance, and supplier quality coordination roles that do not require hands-on inspection.
How can I get hired as a quality program manager in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a quality engineer or quality technician role at one of Colorado's large aerospace or medical device manufacturers, where internal promotion into program management is common. Employers like Lockheed Martin and Ball Aerospace run structured early-career programs that place candidates without direct program management experience into quality functions with mentorship. Pursuing the ASQ Certified Quality Engineer credential while in a technician or inspector role, or gaining experience in supplier auditing through a lateral move from a manufacturing operations position, signals readiness for program management responsibility to Colorado hiring teams.
Where can I find and apply to quality program manager jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to quality program manager jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across the state's aerospace, defense, medical device, and technology sectors. Search the roles listed on this page, find the ones that match your background and target location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
