Business Operations Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a business operations professional in Colorado?
Most business operations roles in Colorado require a bachelor's degree in business administration, operations management, finance, or a related field. Colorado does not have a state-issued license specific to business operations, so employers focus on education, relevant experience, and credentials like a PMP certification or Lean Six Sigma belt. Many professionals enter through analyst, coordinator, or project associate roles before advancing to operations manager or director positions.
Which companies hire business operations professionals in Colorado?
Companies currently hiring business operationss in Colorado include EchoStar, CarMax, and Wendy's, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's mix of Fortune 500 headquarters, aerospace contractors, and fast-growing tech firms creates consistent demand for business operations talent at multiple seniority levels.
Which Colorado cities have the most business operations jobs?
Denver, Littleton, and Boulder have the most business operations openings in Colorado. Denver dominates due to its concentration of corporate headquarters, financial services firms, and healthcare systems, while Boulder attracts technology and startup operations roles and Colorado Springs draws heavily from defense contractors and aerospace employers based in the region.
Are there remote business operations jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 77% of business operations openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how much of the work centers on analysis, planning, and coordination rather than physical presence. Strategic planning, vendor management, and process improvement roles are the most commonly listed as fully remote or flexible.
How can I get hired as a business operations professional in Colorado with little or no experience?
