INTRODUCTION
Our Office Operations team is at the heart of ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the Firm’s day-to-day operations. Our team manages the infrastructure, systems and services —both globally and locally—relating to our office workplaces, onsite and remote operational services, security, safety and a range of other areas. We provide PA support and manage document production, translation and travel services. Our team is responsible for our client-facing areas across the Firm, always seeking to ensure that clients and other visitors have an experience that is world-class. We also take the lead in running our day-to-day operations in the most environmentally sustainable way possible.
The Manager, Business Operations plays an important role, working directly with leadership and the assigned service line to ensure the effective implementation and integration of Firm policies, procedures and systems. This role provides data analytics, support, and guidance on Business Operations matters while also executing operational tasks and initiatives on a day-to-day basis and handling complex queries. Managers work closely with teams across the business in Functions such as Finance, Marketing and People to address complex challenges, such as navigating system processes or process optimization, and enable operational excellence.
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The roles and responsibilities of this job include:
- Utilizes comprehensive knowledge of a discipline within Business Operations to address complex operational issues without clear precedent and providing guidance based on in-depth understanding of the business environment and operational challenges
- Provides in-depth specialist advice to the business on Business Operations topics and policies, such as system integration, process optimization and service delivery
- Leads as a project manager, providing technical knowledge and specialized expertise of Business Operations disciplines to help enact transformational change and implement Firm-wide initiatives
- Leads collaboration with teams across the business to successfully implement Business Operations systems and initiatives, setting the standard of operational excellence within the team
- Serves as an escalated point of contact within the team, taking on complex employee queries and cases to provide insights and recommendations to resolve issues effectively and efficiently
- Stays abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies and regulatory changes, identifying opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains and making recommendations to senior leadership
- Managers at this level will lead one or more teams of supervisors and/or professionals and coordinators, managing operations within a designated area or department
- Individual contributors at this level will lead projects within a broader initiative, providing technical guidance and setting priorities for the team as well as reviewing the work of others
- Engaging in operational and tactical activities, contributing to and supporting decision-making within the team/Sub-Function
- Subject matter expert, possessing advanced and specialized expertise in the discipline, including methodologies, processes and able to address atypical issues within own field
- Managing small professional and/or defined delivery teams across regional and global offices, impacting business primarily through professional or technical contributions to an area of specialty
- Ability to think critically and analytically, leveraging data and insights to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively engage with internal and external stakeholders at various levels of the Firm
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent through experience/relevant certifications where appropriate to the discipline
COMPENSATION RANGE
- Compensation Range: $129,600 - $178,200
