Delivery Manager Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a delivery manager in New York?
Delivery manager roles in New York do not require a state-issued license, but employers consistently expect a bachelor's degree alongside a recognized project management credential such as a PMP from PMI or a SAFe certification. Most candidates build toward the role through project coordinator or scrum master positions at New York technology firms, financial institutions, or consulting practices, then advance by demonstrating measurable delivery outcomes across complex, multi-team programs.
How much do delivery managers make in New York?
Delivery managers in New York earn a median of about $127,180 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $80,430 for the lowest 10% to over $204,600 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire delivery managers in New York?
Employers hiring delivery managers in New York right now include Bloomberg, Boston Consulting, and Nagarro, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. New York's concentration of global financial institutions, major technology consultancies, and large logistics operators means delivery manager demand is spread across multiple sectors rather than tied to a single industry.
Which New York cities have the most delivery manager jobs?
New York, Brooklyn, and New York City have the most delivery manager openings in New York. New York City dominates because its density of financial services headquarters, technology firms, and enterprise consulting practices generates constant demand, while Buffalo and Albany contribute openings through regional government technology initiatives, healthcare system modernization projects, and the growing upstate manufacturing and logistics sector.
Are there remote delivery manager jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. Delivery manager work is fundamentally coordinative and communication-driven, which makes it well suited to remote arrangements. About 26% of delivery manager openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of June 2026, reflecting how broadly New York employers have adopted flexible models since the shift in enterprise work patterns. Program governance, sprint planning, and stakeholder reporting are the functions most commonly performed fully remote.
How can I get hired as a delivery manager in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through a project coordinator or junior scrum master role at a New York technology firm or financial institution, then building toward delivery manager responsibilities from within. IBM, Accenture, and large New York healthcare networks such as NewYork-Presbyterian run associate program and rotational analyst programs that place candidates without direct delivery management experience on delivery teams. Earning a CAPM certification from PMI or completing a SAFe practitioner course gives early-career candidates a concrete credential that New York hiring managers recognize.
Where can I find and apply to delivery manager jobs in New York?
You can find and apply to delivery manager jobs in New York on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings across New York City, Buffalo, Albany, and beyond. Find the roles that fit your experience and apply directly to the ones that match.
