DESCRIPTION
AWS Infrastructure Services (AIS) designs, plans, delivers, and operates all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting AWS data centers and the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that give customers continual access to innovation. We solve complex problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain.
You'll join software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other essential roles. You'll collaborate across AWS to deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing capacity at the lowest cost for customers.
In this role, you will:
Work with Network Deployment and Vendor Management teams to integrate quality assurance into cable installation processes throughout the project lifecycle. You'll participate in reviews of training curriculums and cabling design documents, providing Quality Assurance representation to ensure standards are met during cable installation activities. You'll influence partner teams and cabling vendors to adopt quality assurance checklists that validate conformance to both Amazon and jurisdictional standards during critical milestone checks for cable installation and testing activities.
You'll bring the voice of the customer forward by gathering feedback from internal stakeholders and cabling vendors, then refining quality processes based on their needs. You'll verify that cable installations meet standards by reviewing documentation and data from milestone inspections and cable validation testing. You'll drive cable validation testing adoption and defect management while establishing performance benchmarks to improve vendor performance and enhance quality metrics. You'll document and align cable installation standards and standard operating procedures as new technology and cabling methods integrate into our infrastructure. You’ll also organize training with partner teams and provide guidelines to cabling vendors to ensure consistent execution across all network installations.
This role matters because cable installation quality directly impacts data center network reliability and customer experience. You'll own the quality process from participating in cabling design reviews through training delivery, ensuring our infrastructure meets the standards our customers depend on.

Tips for Your Quality Program Manager Job Search
Quantify your quality outcomes on your resume
Hiring managers scan for measurable results, not process descriptions. Replace statements like 'managed quality initiatives' with specific outcomes: defect rates reduced, audit findings resolved, or supplier nonconformances closed within a defined period.
List your certifications prominently and early
Certifications like CQM, CQE, PMP, and Six Sigma Black Belt are screening filters, not bonuses. Place them in your resume header or a dedicated credentials section so recruiters see them before reading your work history.
Filter openings by the quality framework they require
Many listings require experience in a specific framework, such as ISO 9001, AS9100, or IATF 16949. Searching by these terms surfaces roles where your existing system expertise is a direct match rather than a partial fit.
Apply early to roles that fit
Migrate Mate lists quality program manager openings from across the United States in one place, so you can find roles that match and apply directly to each listing.
Prepare a structured CAPA example for interviews
Almost every quality program manager interview includes a corrective action scenario. Walk in with a specific CAPA you led: the root cause method you used, the stakeholders involved, the timeline, and the verified outcome. Vague answers cost offers.
Negotiate using the full scope of the role
Quality program managers often manage compliance risk, supplier relationships, and cross-functional audits simultaneously. When negotiating, tie your ask to the breadth of accountability you're absorbing, not just the seniority level listed in the title.
Quality Program Manager Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
Which companies are hiring the most quality program managers?
The companies hiring the most quality program managers right now include CVS Health, Burns & McDonnell, and Amazon, with the largest share of openings in California, Texas, and Georgia, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of June 2026. Demand is highest in manufacturing-heavy markets and healthcare systems undergoing accreditation or expansion.
How many quality program manager jobs are remote?
About 10% of quality program manager openings are fully remote or hybrid as of June 2026, though on-site roles remain common in manufacturing and medical device environments. Program management functions focused on documentation, supplier audits, and system governance tend to offer the most location flexibility.
How do you become a quality program manager?
Start with a bachelor's degree in engineering, life sciences, or a related field, then build hands-on experience in quality assurance or quality engineering roles. Earn a recognized certification such as CQM or Six Sigma Black Belt to move into program management. Demonstrate cross-functional leadership by owning audits, corrective action programs, or supplier quality initiatives before applying for manager-level roles.
Can you get a quality program manager job with limited experience?
Yes, candidates with fewer years of direct experience can be competitive by focusing on roles in growing industries like medtech or aerospace that are scaling quality programs. Leading a CAPA process, earning a quality certification, or managing a documented improvement project signals readiness. Targeting companies building out a quality function from scratch often lowers the experience bar compared to established programs.
What does the quality program manager interview process look like?
Most processes include an initial recruiter screen, a technical interview covering your quality methodology and system experience, and a panel or cross-functional interview with engineering, operations, or compliance stakeholders. Expect scenario-based questions on root cause analysis, audit findings, and supplier nonconformances. Some employers add a case study or ask you to review a mock nonconformance report and present a response.
Where can I find and apply to quality program manager jobs?
You can find and apply to quality program manager jobs on Migrate Mate, which lists current openings from across the United States in one place. Search the listings to find roles that match your industry background, certifications, and seniority level, then apply directly to each one that fits.
