Who's Hiring

Development Manager Jobs in Tampa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a development manager job in Tampa?
The strongest path into a development manager role in Tampa is through the city's technology services, healthcare systems, and financial services sectors, which concentrate in Westshore and Downtown. Candidates with a background in software development or project management and experience leading cross-functional teams stand out locally. Targeting mid-size tech firms and regional banks in Tampa gives you the most realistic entry points at the manager level.
Which companies hire development managers in Tampa?
Companies currently hiring development managers in Tampa include AMH, CAE, and CPH, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Tampa's mix of regional financial institutions, healthcare organizations, and growing technology companies means hiring is spread across both large enterprise employers and mid-size firms based in the Westshore and Downtown corridors.
Are there remote development manager jobs in Tampa?
Yes, though remote availability depends heavily on the role type. About 100% of development manager openings tied to Tampa are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, with the highest remote share in software and product development roles. Development managers overseeing on-site construction or facilities projects in Tampa typically require in-person presence, while those leading engineering or software teams have the most flexibility.
How can I get a development manager job in Tampa with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Tampa is through associate or junior developer roles at the city's technology services companies and regional banks in Westshore, then building toward a team lead position. Tampa's growing health-tech and fintech sectors regularly promote from within, making internal transitions a practical route. Earning a project management certification and contributing to cross-team initiatives at a Tampa employer strengthens a promotion case considerably.
