Earning vendor certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator strengthens candidacy considerably with North Dakota employers in energy tech, healthcare IT, and state government.
How much do devops leads make in North Dakota?
Devops leads in North Dakota earn a median of about $105,600 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $62,900 for the lowest 10% to over $158,060 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire devops leads in North Dakota?

North Dakota's energy sector and its expanding financial technology community in Fargo generate steady devops lead demand alongside large institutional employers like Sanford Health and state agencies.
Which North Dakota cities have the most devops lead jobs?
Bismarck, Fargo, and Grand Forks account for the largest share of devops lead openings in North Dakota. Fargo drives the most volume as the state's technology and financial services hub, home to Microsoft's data center operations and a growing startup ecosystem, while Bismarck concentrates demand around state government IT agencies and energy companies, and Grand Forks benefits from University of North Dakota research and defense-adjacent tech work.
Are there remote devops lead jobs in North Dakota?
