Digital Marketing & Content Manager
Full-Time | Monday–Friday | 40 Hours per WeekOrlando & Winter Garden, FloridaSalary: $70,000–$85,000 per year, based on experience
THIS IS AN EXPERIENCED, MID-LEVEL MARKETING POSITION
We are specifically seeking an experienced marketing professional with a minimum of 3 years of full-time professional marketing experience. 4–5+ years is preferred.
This is not an entry-level position, internship, or first marketing role.
We are looking for someone who has already demonstrated the ability to independently plan and execute marketing initiatives, manage content and campaigns, and take ownership of projects without requiring constant direction.
You should be comfortable being given a business objective, rather than a list of marketing tasks, and determining what needs to be done to accomplish it.
We highly encourage applicants to submit examples of past work, campaigns, social media accounts they have managed, or a portfolio. Relevant work samples will be a significant plus when determining which applicants move forward in the interview process.
About the Position
We are looking for a creative, organized, strategic, and highly motivated Digital Marketing & Content Manager to oversee day-to-day digital marketing initiatives across three established Central Florida brands.
Canvas Event Venue
An Orlando event venue serving corporate events, brand activations, weddings, galas, and social events.
OBS Events
An event design and production company specializing in corporate experiences, immersive events, luxury weddings, social events, floral, fabrication, lighting, video, and custom design.
Element by Shangri-La
A curated furniture, home décor, and lifestyle retail brand featuring distinctive imported and artisan pieces.
This is not simply a social media posting position.
We need someone who understands how to take a company’s sales strategy, business priorities, and brand awareness goals and translate them into an organized and effective digital marketing plan.
You will work closely with leadership, sales, creative, production, event, and retail teams, but you will also be expected to take initiative and own your area of responsibility.
We don’t want to tell you what to post every day.
We want you to understand what the businesses are trying to accomplish, identify the marketing opportunities, develop the plan, bring ideas to the team, and execute.
Digital Marketing Strategy
- Develop and maintain monthly and quarterly digital marketing calendars across all three brands.
- Meet with leadership and sales teams to understand current sales priorities and business objectives.
- Translate those objectives into marketing campaigns and content initiatives.
- Proactively identify marketing opportunities rather than waiting for assignments.
- Plan campaigns around events, products, seasonal opportunities, venue availability, company capabilities, and brand awareness initiatives.
- Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness, website traffic, inquiries, engagement, and sales.
- Maintain a distinct voice, visual identity, and audience strategy for each brand.
- Identify appropriate opportunities for cross-promotion between the companies.
- Evaluate what’s working and continually refine the strategy.
Social Media & Content
Oversee the planning, creation, scheduling, and management of content across:
- TikTok
- Other platforms when strategically appropriate
Responsibilities include:
- Develop monthly content calendars for each brand.
- Create and coordinate posts, reels, TikToks, stories, carousels, and short-form video.
- Understand current social media and short-form video trends and identify which trends make sense for each brand.
- Develop platform-specific content instead of simply publishing identical content across every channel.
- Write strong captions and marketing copy.
- Proactively identify content opportunities during events, installations, venue transformations, behind-the-scenes production, and retail activity.
- Capture usable social content when appropriate and coordinate professional photography and video when needed.
- Repurpose our extensive library of professional photography and video into fresh content.
- Schedule and publish content consistently.
- Monitor engagement and coordinate responses when appropriate.
- Track performance and adjust content strategy based on results.
LinkedIn & B2B Marketing
LinkedIn is an important component of this position, particularly for Canvas Event Venue and OBS Events.
Responsibilities include:
- Develop and execute a consistent LinkedIn strategy.
- Create content targeted toward corporate event planners, agencies, hospitality professionals, brands, convention groups, and industry partners.
- Showcase completed events, case studies, capabilities, partnerships, and behind-the-scenes work.
- Help position Canvas and OBS as leading Central Florida resources for experiential events, event design, and production.
- Identify opportunities for leadership and company thought leadership content.
Email Marketing
- Develop and manage email marketing calendars.
- Create newsletters, promotional campaigns, event recaps, product features, and sales-focused communications.
- Coordinate email campaigns with sales priorities.
- Segment audiences where appropriate.
- Monitor open rates, click-through rates, engagement, and conversions.
- Continually improve our email databases and communication strategy.
Blogs, Website & SEO
- Develop blog and long-form content strategies.
- Create event recaps, case studies, venue features, design inspiration, educational content, and other relevant articles.
- Keep key website content current.
- Incorporate SEO principles into written content.
- Identify opportunities to turn completed projects into searchable, evergreen marketing content.
- Coordinate with outside web or SEO partners when necessary.
Content Creation & Digital Asset Management
We have an extensive and continually growing library of professional event, venue, design, and product photography and video.
This position will be responsible for helping us maximize that investment by:
- Organizing and maintaining digital photo and video libraries.
- Identifying the strongest content from completed events and projects.
- Turning existing photography and video into new marketing content.
- Creating and editing short-form video for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and other platforms.
- Identifying opportunities for behind-the-scenes, transformation, educational, inspirational, and trend-driven video content.
- Coordinating with photographers, videographers, designers, and team members.
- Maintaining organized libraries of approved brand assets, logos, templates, photographs, and video.
- Recognizing content opportunities that others on the team may not see.
AI & Marketing Technology
The effective use of AI is an important part of this position.
We believe AI can significantly improve the speed, organization, creativity, and effectiveness of our marketing.
We are looking for someone who is comfortable embracing new technology and actively looking for ways to use it to improve their work.
AI may be used to assist with:

- Short-form video concepts and scripting

- Digital asset organization
- Workflow efficiency
We want someone who naturally looks for ways to use technology to work smarter and more efficiently.
AI should enhance creativity and productivity, not replace original thinking, judgment, or a strong understanding of our brands.
Analytics & Accountability
We don’t measure marketing success simply by how often we post.
The Digital Marketing & Content Manager will track relevant performance across our digital channels, including:
- Audience growth and engagement
- Website traffic
- Email performance
- Social and short-form video performance
- Content performance
- Lead-generating activity

Digital Content Specialist Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a digital content specialist in Florida?
There is no state-issued license required to work as a digital content specialist in Florida. Most employers expect a bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, English, or journalism, though some accept an associate degree paired with a strong portfolio. Building a portfolio of published work, whether through freelance projects, internships at Florida media companies, or university publications, is the most direct path to landing a first role in the state.
Which companies hire digital content specialists in Florida?
Employers hiring digital content specialists in Florida right now include Bcurved, Related, and Beaut academy, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's tourism, healthcare, and financial services industries generate consistent demand for content professionals at companies with large digital marketing teams.
Which Florida cities have the most digital content specialist jobs?
Orlando, Miami, and West Palm Beach have the most digital content specialist openings in Florida. Miami drives demand through its concentration of international brands, media companies, and tourism operators, while Tampa's growing tech and financial services sector and Orlando's entertainment and healthcare industries keep hiring active in those metros throughout the year.
Are there remote digital content specialist jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 17% of digital content specialist openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the desk-based, deliverable-driven nature of the work. Content strategy, copywriting, and SEO-focused roles are the most likely to offer fully remote arrangements, while positions requiring on-site shoots or in-person collaboration with creative teams tend to stay hybrid or on-site.
How can I get hired as a digital content specialist in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is through internships or entry-level content coordinator roles at Florida media outlets, regional advertising agencies, or university marketing departments. Large Florida healthcare systems and hospitality brands such as theme park operators and hotel groups regularly bring on junior content associates and marketing coordinators who transition into specialist roles. Building a portfolio through freelance writing, managing a campus publication, or producing social content for a local nonprofit gives hiring managers something concrete to evaluate alongside a degree.
