Strategy Director Jobs in Florida: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy director in Florida?
The path to becoming a strategy director in Florida typically starts with a bachelor's degree in business, finance, or a related field, followed by an MBA from a Florida institution such as the University of Florida, University of Miami, or Florida State University, which can accelerate advancement. There is no state-issued license required for the role. Most Florida employers expect candidates to have built their career through management consulting, corporate finance, or business operations before moving into a director-level strategy position.
Which companies hire strategy directors in Florida?
Employers hiring strategy directors in Florida right now include CVS Health, SSU, and PODS, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Florida's mix of large corporate headquarters, major health systems, and financial services firms creates steady demand for strategy leadership across multiple industries year-round.
Which Florida cities have the most strategy director jobs?
Miami, Tampa, and Orlando have the most strategy director openings in Florida. Miami drives demand through its concentration of multinational corporations and financial services firms, Tampa draws from its growing healthcare and professional services base, and Orlando benefits from the large hospitality and consumer-facing businesses headquartered or operating there.
Are there remote strategy director jobs in Florida?
Yes, and more than many senior leadership roles, since strategy work is largely analytical and communication-driven rather than hands-on. About 52% of strategy director openings tied to Florida are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the desk-based nature of the work. The parts of the role most amenable to remote work include market research, financial modeling, and cross-functional planning, while in-person presence is typically expected for executive presentations and stakeholder alignment.
How can I get hired as a strategy director in Florida with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is moving into a strategy analyst or associate role first, then building toward director-level responsibility. Large Florida employers such as AdventHealth, Carnival Corporation, and Darden Restaurants hire for strategy analyst and business development associate positions that serve as direct pipelines to director roles. Coming from management consulting, investment banking, or corporate finance at a Florida firm carries particular weight. An MBA from a Florida university strengthens a candidate's profile significantly when direct strategy experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to strategy director jobs in Florida?
You can find and apply to strategy director jobs in Florida on Migrate Mate, which lists current Florida openings across industries and metros. Find roles that fit your background and apply directly to each one.
