As Storyful enters its next phase of growth alongside Dow Jones, we are expanding our enterprise reputation intelligence capabilities through Dow Jones Reputation Radar—a next-generation intelligence platform powered by Storyful and Factiva.
Dow Jones Reputation Radar helps communications and corporate affairs leaders move beyond monitoring and sentiment dashboards to understand:
Which narratives are gaining traction
Who is driving legitimacy and amplification
Where reputational pressure is likely to build next
What actions organizations should take in response
This is a unique opportunity to join at an early stage and help build a category-defining reputation intelligence business backed by the scale, credibility and market reach of Dow Jones.
About the Role
We are seeking an entrepreneurial and commercially sophisticated Sales Director, New Business & Strategic Growth to help establish Dow Jones Reputation Radar as the market-leading reputation intelligence platform.
This is a senior, quota-carrying commercial role with responsibility for driving enterprise growth, shaping market strategy and helping define an emerging category.
You will build pipelines, develop strategic client relationships and close complex enterprise opportunities while also partnering closely with Product, Marketing and Executive Leadership to shape go-to-market strategy, market positioning, pricing, category creation and commercial execution based on customer insight and market dynamics.
Success requires a consultative approach: the ability to navigate complex buying environments, engage credibly with senior stakeholders and translate Dow Jones Reputation Radar's capabilities into clear commercial and strategic value for clients.
You will work across commercial, intelligence and product teams to bring customer insight into product evolution, positioning and go-to-market execution while helping establish Dow Jones Reputation Radar as the trusted intelligence platform for communications and corporate affairs leaders.
This role offers a rare opportunity to help define how organizations operationalize reputation intelligence while leveraging the combined capabilities of Storyful, Dow Jones and News Corp.
You Will
Lead commercial growth and market expansion for Dow Jones Reputation Radar across priority sectors including Financial Services, Healthcare, Technology, Energy and Consumer Brands.
Build and execute strategic account plans, generating qualified pipelines and closing complex enterprise opportunities.
Develop trusted relationships with senior Communications, Corporate Affairs, Public Affairs, Marketing, Risk and Executive Leadership stakeholders.
Own enterprise sales opportunities from initial engagement through solution development, negotiation, contracting and close.
Partner closely with Product, Marketing and Executive Leadership to shape go-to-market strategy, pricing, positioning, demand generation and category creation.
Act as the voice of the customer, translating buyer insight, market feedback and competitive intelligence into recommendations for product strategy and commercial execution.
Operate as a trusted advisor, helping organisations understand evolving narrative, reputational and stakeholder dynamics and how they can make better strategic decisions.
Represent Storyful and Dow Jones at executive forums, industry events and strategic client engagements.
Maintain disciplined forecasting, pipeline management and opportunity tracking within Salesforce.
Help establish Dow Jones Reputation Radar as the recognised leader in the emerging reputation intelligence category.
You Have
12 years’ experience in enterprise B2B sales, strategic business development, and/or commercial growth roles
Proven success selling enterprise SaaS, information services, data, intelligence or strategic advisory solutions
Experience engaging senior Communications, Corporate Affairs, Marketing, Public Affairs, Risk or C-suite stakeholders
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex enterprise buying groups and multi-stakeholder sales cycles
Experience combining platform sales with consultative or advisory solution selling, helping clients solve strategic business challenges rather than executing purely transactional sales motions
Strong understanding of the communications, reputation, public affairs, media intelligence or decision intelligence ecosystem
Experience influencing go-to-market strategy, commercial positioning or product direction through customer insight is highly desirable
Demonstrated success building pipeline, generating demand and creating commercial momentum for emerging products or services
Strong executive communication, storytelling, presentation and influencing skills
Comfortable operating in fast-moving, entrepreneurial environments with ambiguity and the opportunity to help shape the business
Existing relationships within communications, corporate affairs, media, public affairs, policy or enterprise brand ecosystems are advantageous
Willingness to work in our MIdtown Manhattan office at least 3 days a week
Experience working across multinational enterprise accounts is preferred
About the Team
You will join a highly collaborative and entrepreneurial team spanning intelligence, product, marketing and commercial leadership across Storyful and Dow Jones.
Together, we are building a new category of reputation intelligence—combining proprietary technology, world-class journalism and strategic advisory expertise to help organizations understand emerging narratives, anticipate reputational risk and make better decisions in moments that matter.

Strategy Director Jobs in New York: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy director in New York?
The path to a strategy director role in New York typically begins with an undergraduate degree in business, economics, or a related field, followed by several years in consulting, investment banking, or corporate development. New York employers place particular weight on experience with large, complex organizations, and an MBA from a competitive program often accelerates advancement. There is no state-issued license required to work as a strategy director in New York.
Which companies hire strategy directors in New York?
Employers hiring strategy directors in New York right now include EY, JPMorganChase, and Citi, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. New York's concentration of financial services firms, global consulting offices, and media conglomerates means demand for this role stays consistent across economic cycles.
Which New York cities have the most strategy director jobs?
New York, Manhattan, and New York State have the most strategy director openings in New York. Manhattan dominates because it is home to the headquarters of major financial institutions, consulting firms, and media companies, while Brooklyn and other metro-area locations account for openings at technology companies, healthcare systems, and growing startups that have expanded outside Midtown.
Are there remote strategy director jobs in New York?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 78% of strategy director openings tied to New York are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves analysis, presentation development, and stakeholder communication that can be done off-site. The parts of the role most likely to be fully remote are research-intensive and planning functions, while roles requiring regular executive presence tend to require at least partial on-site work.
How can I get hired as a strategy director in New York with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is joining a New York-based management consulting firm or a corporate strategy rotational program as an analyst or associate, then building toward a director title from within. Large institutions such as Citigroup, Verizon, and Memorial Sloan Kettering run structured associate strategy programs that bring in candidates from adjacent roles in finance, business operations, or product management. A strong MBA from a New York area school also signals readiness to employers who promote from internal pipelines.
