Entry Level Director Field Sales Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level director field sales job?
Focus on internships, campus sales programs, or any customer-facing role that shows you can manage a territory and close business. Employers hiring at the entry level typically look for candidates who demonstrate coachability, comfort with cold outreach, and the ability to hit activity metrics. A strong internship, a record of meeting quotas in a part-time role, or leadership in a student organization can all give you a real edge over other new applicants.
Which companies hire entry level director field saless?
Companies hiring entry level director field saless right now include Sunrun, Cummins, and Molina Healthcare, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from growth-stage companies, regional distributors, and large enterprises running structured sales development programs that promote from within.
Are there remote entry level director field sales jobs?
Yes, though many field sales roles are territory-based and require in-person presence. About 14% of entry level director field sales openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, which typically means a mix of home-office administrative work and local travel for client meetings rather than fully desk-bound remote positions.
Are these new grad director field sales jobs?
Yes, many of these listings are new grad and junior roles that explicitly welcome recent graduates and candidates with zero to two years of experience. A posting is new-grad friendly when it lists a degree as preferred rather than required, accepts internship experience in place of full-time history, or mentions a structured training program for candidates entering field sales for the first time.
Which industries hire the most entry level director field saless?
Entry Level director field sales roles concentrate in Manufacturing, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Construction & Real Estate, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors drive entry level hiring because they rely on field-based territory growth, high customer acquisition volume, and training pipelines that bring new graduates up to quota quickly.
