Director Of Client Experience Jobs in Minnesota: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a director of client experience in Minnesota?
Most director of client experience roles in Minnesota require a bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or communications, plus several years of progressive leadership in customer success or service operations. Minnesota does not issue a state license for this role, but employers in regulated sectors like healthcare and financial services expect familiarity with compliance frameworks relevant to those industries. Candidates who build experience at Minnesota's large service-sector employers and earn CX certifications through recognized professional bodies tend to move into director-level roles most reliably.
Which companies hire director of client experiences in Minnesota?
Companies currently hiring director of client experiences in Minnesota include Target, Walser Automotive, and Bob's Discount Furniture, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Minnesota's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters in financial services and healthcare creates steady director-level demand beyond what most comparable metro markets sustain.
Which Minnesota cities have the most director of client experience jobs?
Minneapolis, Duluth, and Bloomington account for the most director of client experience openings in Minnesota. Minneapolis and Saint Paul dominate because the Twin Cities metro hosts the headquarters of major financial, retail, and healthcare employers, while suburban hubs like Bloomington and Minnetonka hold large corporate campuses that generate consistent senior CX leadership demand.
Are there remote director of client experience jobs in Minnesota?
Yes, and more than many leadership roles. About 28% of director of client experience openings tied to Minnesota are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting how much of the work involves strategy, data analysis, and cross-functional alignment rather than in-person service delivery. Roles focused on digital customer journey design and enterprise CRM programs are the most likely to be offered with remote or flexible arrangements.
How can I get hired as a director of client experience in Minnesota with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is a customer success manager or client services supervisor role at one of Minnesota's large healthcare or financial services employers, where internal mobility programs allow movement into senior leadership over time. UnitedHealth Group, Allianz Life, and Ameriprise Financial all run rotational and development programs that build CX competency in Minnesota. Gaining experience with CRM platforms and completing a recognized CX or project management certification strengthens a candidate's profile for a director-track promotion without requiring prior director-level titles.
