Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an AI Program Manager
Align your credentials to specialty occupation
The E-3 visa requires your degree field to match the role. For AI Program Manager positions, a degree in computer science, information systems, or engineering strengthens your case far more than a general business or management qualification.
Target employers with active LCA filings
U.S. employers sponsoring E-3 workers must first certify a Labor Condition Application with the DOL. Search the DOL's Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data to identify companies that have filed LCAs for program management or AI-related roles recently.
Frame your PM experience around technical delivery
Consular officers assess whether your role genuinely requires a specialty degree. Highlight AI system deployments, model lifecycle oversight, and cross-functional technical coordination in your resume, generic project delivery narratives raise more questions than they answer.
Clarify sponsorship scope with your employer early
Some hiring managers assume E-3 sponsorship is automatic once an offer is made. Before signing, confirm your employer will file the LCA with the DOL and support your consulate appointment, delays at this stage are the most common reason offers fall through.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA and paperwork
Once you have a job offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the LCA submission, visa documentation, and consulate preparation end-to-end, so neither you nor your employer needs to navigate DOL and USCIS requirements independently.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at the consulate
AI Program Manager roles attract scrutiny because they are senior, long-term positions. Come to your consulate appointment with clear evidence of your current Australian ties, property, family, or professional commitments, alongside your employment offer and LCA.
E-3 Visa AI Program Manager: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find AI Program Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It surfaces U.S. AI Program Manager roles from employers with E-3 sponsorship history, so you're not manually filtering through postings from companies unfamiliar with the visa. Search by role and location to see active opportunities matched to your E-3 eligibility as an Australian national.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an AI Program Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, in most cases. The E-3 requires that the position normally demands a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field. AI Program Manager roles overseeing model development, platform deployment, or technical AI roadmaps consistently meet this standard when the job description specifies a degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline. Roles framed primarily around stakeholder coordination with no technical degree requirement are harder to support.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for an AI Program Manager moving to the U.S.?
The E-3 is available year-round with no lottery, while H-1B visa registration opens once annually and selection is random. For an AI Program Manager with an offer in hand, the E-3 means you can book a consulate appointment within weeks of your employer certifying the LCA, rather than waiting up to a year for an H-1B start date. The E-3 is also renewable indefinitely in two-year increments, with no cap on how many times you can extend.
Can I change employers or switch to a different AI role while on an E-3?
You can change employers on an E-3, but each new position requires a fresh LCA filed by the new employer and a new visa stamp before you begin work. There is no portability provision like H-1B's AC21. If you move into a role with a materially different job description, your employer will need to certify a new LCA reflecting the updated duties, and you'll return to the consulate for a new visa issuance.
