Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Customer Success Representative
Frame your degree for specialty occupation
E-3 visa sponsorship requires the role to qualify as a specialty occupation. Request a written job description from your employer that specifies a bachelor's degree in business, communications, or a related field as a requirement, not a preference.
Target SaaS companies with existing E-3 history
Search DOL's Labor Condition Application disclosure data to identify companies that have filed E-3 LCAs for customer-facing roles. SaaS and enterprise software firms sponsor these positions far more regularly than traditional industries.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA and paperwork
After receiving your offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. This avoids the coordination errors that happen when employers try to manage DOL filings without dedicated immigration support.
Address Australian degree equivalency before interviewing
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes. Have your transcripts ready to share with your employer's HR team early so equivalency questions don't stall the LCA filing.
Negotiate E-3 filing costs into your offer
The E-3 filing costs fall mostly on you as the applicant, but employers often cover or reimburse them when asked. Raise this during the offer stage, not after you've signed, when renegotiating becomes awkward.
Prepare for consulate questions about client responsibility
Consular officers sometimes probe whether a Customer Success role involves independent judgment or just task execution. Prepare specific examples of how your work requires specialized knowledge, such as managing complex onboarding or driving product adoption strategy.
E-3 Visa Customer Success Representative: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Customer Success Representative jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended way to search, as it filters roles by E-3 sponsorship history so you're only seeing employers who have filed LCAs for comparable positions. General job boards don't filter by visa type, so you end up cold-pitching sponsorship to employers who have never navigated the process.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Customer Success Representative role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It can, but the job description needs to specify that a bachelor's degree in a particular field is required for the role. Titles like Customer Success Manager or Enterprise Customer Success Specialist are more defensible than generic support roles. If the posting says 'degree preferred,' ask the employer to revise the internal job requisition before filing the LCA with DOL.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Customer Success roles?
The E-3 is available only to Australian citizens, but it has no annual lottery and no numerical cap that affects most applicants. H-1B visa requires entering a random lottery each April with roughly one-in-four selection odds. For Australians in Customer Success, the E-3 is a direct path to a two-year work authorization that renews indefinitely, with no lottery risk.
Can I change employers or get promoted while on an E-3?
Yes to both, but a new LCA is required for each change. Switching employers means your new company files a fresh LCA with DOL certifying the prevailing wage before you can begin work. An internal promotion to a materially different role, such as moving from individual contributor to team lead, also requires a new LCA even with the same employer.
