The E-3 requires a qualifying job offer, a certified Labor Condition Application, and your dental credentials, renewable every two years as long as you maintain employment.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Endodontist
Verify your dental credentials meet U.S. requirements
Australian dental degrees are generally accepted for E-3 specialty occupation purposes, but you'll also need a state dental license to practice. Confirm your degree and any postgraduate endodontic training maps to the role's educational requirement before approaching employers.
Target private practices and DSO groups with hiring pipelines
Multi-location dental service organizations and academic dental centers file LCAs far more regularly than solo practitioners. Focusing your search on employer types with established international hiring processes shortens the path from offer to sponsorship approval.
Ask employers about LCA filing before accepting offers
The LCA must be certified by DOL before your visa application can proceed. Confirm upfront that your prospective employer understands this requirement and is prepared to file promptly, since delays here push back your consulate appointment by weeks.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to manage your LCA and visa paperwork
Once you have a signed offer letter, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the LCA submission, DS-160 preparation, and consulate documentation end-to-end, reducing the administrative load on both you and your employer.
Search for E-3 sponsorship roles through Migrate Mate
Migrate Mate filters roles by E-3 sponsorship history, so you can identify endodontist positions at employers already familiar with the process rather than cold-pitching practices that have never sponsored a foreign national.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions at your consulate interview
Consular officers assess whether you intend to return to Australia. Having a clear, honest narrative about your career plans and ties to Australia reduces the risk of a 221(g) hold, which is one of the more common delays for dental professionals.

Find Endodontist JobsEndodontist E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find endodontist jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for endodontist roles where employers are already open to E-3 sponsorship. Most general job boards don't filter by visa type, so you end up cold-approaching practices that have no experience with the LCA process. Migrate Mate surfaces opportunities specifically for Australian professionals seeking E-3 sponsorship.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an endodontist role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3 visa?
Yes. Endodontics requires at minimum a dental degree plus advanced postgraduate training, which satisfies the E-3 specialty occupation standard. The role must normally require at least a bachelor's degree or its equivalent in a specific field. A Doctor of Dental Surgery or Doctor of Dental Medicine, combined with a recognized endodontic specialty program, meets that threshold clearly.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Australian endodontists?
The E-3 is significantly more practical for Australian dentists. There's no annual lottery, no cap anxiety, and the 10,500 annual allocation has never been exhausted. H-1B selection is random and only runs once per year, meaning you could wait years before securing a slot. The E-3 can be filed any time of year and renewed indefinitely.
Can I switch endodontist employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you can't simply transfer your existing E-3. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new visa stamp if yours has expired. If your current E-3 is still valid and your new employer's LCA is certified, you can typically begin work for the new practice before the new visa stamp is issued.
