ABOUT THE JOB
A problem isn’t truly solved until it’s solved for all. That’s why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Environmental Health And Safety Manager
Align your credentials to U.S. certification standards
Australian WHS qualifications transfer well, but U.S. employers often expect a Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or OSHA 30-hour credential. Getting these before your job search signals readiness and removes a common objection during the offer stage.
Target industries with active LCA filing histories
Construction, manufacturing, and chemical processing companies file LCAs for EHS Manager roles far more regularly than general corporate employers. Focusing your search on these sectors shortens the path from application to sponsorship offer.
Clarify your Australian degree equivalency upfront
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree in occupational health or environmental science is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year degree for E-3 specialty occupation purposes. Confirm this with your employer before they begin the DOL Labor Condition Application.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA and consulate prep
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages the entire process from LCA submission through consulate appointment preparation, so your employer isn't left coordinating unfamiliar DOL filings on their own.
Address E-3 dual intent limitations at the offer stage
E-3 is a nonimmigrant visa, meaning you can't express immigrant intent at your consulate interview. If your employer later wants to sponsor you for a green card, that's a separate process you should discuss before accepting the offer.
Request employer E-Verify enrollment before your start date
E-3 holders are authorized for work via their visa status, but some employers require E-Verify completion before day one. Confirm your employer is enrolled or can enroll quickly to avoid any gap between your consulate approval and your first day on site.

Find Environmental Health And Safety Manager JobsEnvironmental Health And Safety Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Environmental Health And Safety Manager jobs with E-3 sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 visa sponsorship. You can filter by job title and see employers with documented sponsorship history for EHS and safety roles. General job boards don't filter by visa type, so you end up cold-applying to employers who may not be set up to sponsor at all.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Environmental Health And Safety Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. EHS Manager roles typically require a bachelor's degree in environmental science, occupational health, safety management, or a closely related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation requirement under the E-3. The key is that your job duties and the employer's job description must both reflect that degree-level knowledge is required to perform the role, not just preferred.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for EHS Manager roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so if you're an Australian citizen with a qualifying offer, your employer can file at any point in the year and expect a predictable outcome. The H-1B requires lottery registration in March and only covers roughly 30 percent of registrants. For EHS roles, where demand is steady but not hyper-competitive, the E-3 is a significantly more reliable path.
Can I transfer my Australian WHS experience directly to a U.S. EHS Manager role on an E-3?
Your Australian work health and safety experience is directly relevant, but U.S. employers will evaluate it against OSHA standards rather than Safe Work Australia frameworks. Familiarity with OSHA 1910 and 1926 standards, and ideally a CSP or OSHA 30-hour certification, strengthens your candidacy. The E-3 itself doesn't require U.S. work history, only that the role meets specialty occupation criteria.
