Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Oracle Database Administrator
Translate your Oracle credentials for U.S. employers
OCP and OCM certifications carry weight in the U.S. market, but your three-year Australian bachelor's degree needs a credential evaluation letter confirming U.S. equivalency. Get this from a NACES-approved evaluator before your first interview.
Target employers with active LCA filing histories
Search the DOL's OFLC disclosure data for companies that have filed LCAs for database administrator roles. Employers who've done it before move faster and are far less likely to stall at the sponsorship question.
Frame your Oracle specialization as a specialty occupation
Generic DBA job descriptions can weaken an E-3 petition. Before accepting an offer, confirm the job posting requires a degree in a specific field like computer science or MIS, not just 'a bachelor's degree in any discipline.'
Negotiate who covers the LCA and filing costs
The LCA is the employer's legal obligation to file, but visa preparation costs are often negotiable. Raise this in the offer stage, not after signing, so there's no ambiguity about who handles the DOL submission timeline.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your paperwork
Once you have an offer, Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service manages your LCA submission, DS-160, and consulate prep end-to-end. This avoids the coordination gaps that delay E-3 approvals when employers handle filings without dedicated support.

Use Migrate Mate to search Oracle Database Administrator roles at employers who actively sponsor E-3 visas. Filtering by sponsorship history before applying saves weeks of back-and-forth with recruiters who aren't set up for the process.

Find Oracle Database Administrator JobsOracle Database Administrator E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I find Oracle Database Administrator jobs with E-3 sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the recommended starting point. It surfaces Oracle DBA roles at employers with active E-3 and LCA filing histories, so you're not spending time on applications that will stall at the sponsorship conversation. Filtering by role and sponsorship status upfront makes the search significantly more targeted.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Oracle DBA role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field like computer science, information systems, or software engineering. The role must genuinely require that degree, not just list it as preferred. If the job description accepts any bachelor's degree regardless of field, the employer may need to revise it before filing the LCA with DOL.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Oracle DBA roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, so you can apply at any time of year once you have a job offer. The H-1B runs a randomized lottery with a roughly 25 percent selection rate for most applicants. For Australian professionals, the E-3 is a faster and more predictable path into a U.S. DBA role without waiting on lottery results.
Can I transfer my E-3 to a new Oracle DBA employer in the U.S.?
Yes, but it's not a simple transfer. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp before re-entering the U.S., or you can change status domestically through USCIS. The grace period between roles is 60 days, so timing the transition around your new employer's LCA timeline matters.
