E-3 Visa Power BI Jobs
Power BI roles qualify as E-3 specialty occupations when the position requires a degree in business analytics, computer science, or a related field. Australian professionals can secure E-3 visa sponsorship without competing in the H-1B lottery, and the visa renews indefinitely as long as you hold a qualifying role.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Power BI
Frame your degree field precisely
E-3 requires your degree to match the role's field, not just the general technology space. A business analytics or information systems degree supports Power BI sponsorship more cleanly than a general IT qualification, so position it that way in your resume and visa documents.
Target employers with active LCA histories
Search DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for certified LCAs listing Power BI, business intelligence, or data analyst titles. Employers who've filed LCAs before understand the process and won't treat your E-3 request as an unfamiliar compliance burden.
Raise sponsorship before the offer stage
Bring up your E-3 eligibility during the second or final interview round, not after an offer lands. Framing it as 'no lottery, no quota, employer-paid DOL filing' removes the hesitation most U.S. hiring managers have about visa sponsorship.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service end-to-end
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork from start to consulate appointment. Employers are more likely to proceed when the administrative lift is minimal and managed by a specialist.
Verify your employer can act as LCA sponsor
Staffing agencies and consulting firms placing you at a third-party client site face additional DOL scrutiny as LCA sponsors. Confirm the entity signing your offer letter is the same entity filing the LCA, or flag the arrangement to your immigration contact before accepting.
Prepare for prevailing wage questions at interview
The DOL sets a prevailing wage floor for your role's location and level. If an employer's offer sits below that floor, USCIS will flag the LCA. Know your wage tier before negotiating so you can identify offers that will clear certification without complications.

Find Power BI JobsPower BI E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Power BI jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. You can filter by job title and see employers who have sponsored E-3 or similar visas before. Searching through a general job board means manually vetting every employer for sponsorship willingness, which is slow and often inconclusive.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Power BI role qualify as an E-3 specialty occupation?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree in a specific field such as business analytics, computer science, information systems, or a related discipline. Generic roles where any degree is accepted regardless of field can fail the specialty occupation test. Job descriptions that list a specific required degree field are the clearest path to a clean LCA certification.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Power BI professionals?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply at any time of year once you have a job offer. H-1B registration opens once annually in March, and selection is random, meaning qualified candidates are frequently excluded. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is the direct path to a Power BI role without waiting for a lottery outcome.
Can I switch Power BI employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but you need a new LCA certified by the DOL and a new visa stamp before you can legally start with the new employer. You can't simply transfer the existing E-3 to a new company. If your current visa stamp is still valid, some attorneys advise using it for re-entry, but the new LCA must be in place before your first day with the new employer.
