Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Senior Test Engineer
Align your credentials to U.S. specialty occupation standards
Your Australian three-year engineering degree counts as equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor's degree for E-3 purposes. Get a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved evaluator before applying so employers can confirm your qualification without delays.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for companies that have filed LCAs for test engineer or QA engineer roles. Prior LCA history means the employer's legal team already understands the E-3 process and won't treat sponsorship as an obstacle.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for LCA and consulate prep
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. It covers DOL submission, DS-160 preparation, and consulate appointment readiness so nothing falls through between offer acceptance and your start date.
Confirm the job description meets specialty occupation requirements
A Senior Test Engineer role needs a degree requirement written into the job description, not just listed as preferred. Ask the hiring manager or HR team to confirm the posting specifies a bachelor's in a relevant field before the LCA is filed.

Find Senior Test Engineer JobsSenior Test Engineer E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Senior Test Engineer jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. It filters for employers with sponsorship history so you're not cold-applying to companies that have never run an LCA. Search by job title and location to see Senior Test Engineer openings matched to your E-3 eligibility.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Senior Test Engineer role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, provided the position requires a bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, computer science, software engineering, or a directly related field. Roles where any degree is acceptable, or where the requirement is listed as preferred rather than required, can create problems during LCA review. The job description must specify the degree as a genuine requirement of the position.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Senior Test Engineer roles?
The E-3 has no lottery and no annual numerical cap, so you can apply at any time of year and begin work as soon as your visa is approved. The H-1B lottery runs once per year with a roughly 25 percent selection rate. For Australian nationals, the E-3 is a direct consular process that most experienced hiring teams can complete without the uncertainty or multi-month wait that H-1B registration involves.
Can I change employers while on an E-3 as a Senior Test Engineer?
Yes, but your E-3 status is tied to the specific employer listed on your LCA and visa. When you change jobs, the new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa before starting with them. You can't transfer the existing visa to a different employer the way some other visa categories allow portability.
