Following our acquisition of Nira, we have taken the first steps to integrate its data access governance technology into Dropbox Dash. Now, we are focused on deepening this integration across the Dropbox portfolio and expanding our security offering in the broader data access governance, DLP and AI Security markets.
We are looking for a Staff Product Manager to lead this next phase — defining the strategy and key capabilities, shaping the roadmap, and scaling a new security business within Dropbox. This is a 0 → 1 opportunity to establish Dropbox as a leader in AI and Data security for SMBs and mid-market companies, bringing AI-driven access governance, insider risk protection, and compliance automation to businesses that need it most.
Responsibilities
- Build next-generation security products – Shape and deliver innovative solutions by integrating Nira’s governance capabilities into Dropbox and driving a standalone security offering for the broader market.
- Lead an AI-driven roadmap – Define and launch intelligent features that use AI and automation to streamline access control, enforce real-time DLP, and proactively detect security risks.
- Expand Dropbox’s impact in the market – Identify opportunities in the SMB and mid-market security space, craft a clear product vision, and accelerate adoption with a differentiated value proposition.
- Deliver breakthrough product experiences – Partner with engineering and design to launch automated access reviews, AI-powered security insights, and compliance workflows that raise the bar on security.
- Turn insights into action – Work directly with customers to uncover their toughest data governance and AI security challenges, and translate those needs into high-impact product features.
- Drive seamless execution – Collaborate across engineering, security, compliance, and go-to-market teams to launch products that meet global standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.) and delight customers.
REQUIREMENTS
- Hands-on Security Product Expertise – 10+ years of product management experience, including 3+ years building solutions in Access Governance, DLP, DSPM, SSPM, or AI Security.
- BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Information Systems, Applied Math or Statistics, or relevant experience.
- Deep Domain Knowledge – Experience tackling data and IP protection challenges, especially in Access Management and DLP for Google Workspace, Microsoft OneDrive, Dropbox, Box, or similar SaaS platforms.
- Customer-First Mindset – Passion for solving real customer pain points, with a track record of shipping security products that are powerful yet simple to use.
- Proven 0 → 1 Builder – You’ve taken security products from idea to launch, driving adoption and impact in environments ranging from enterprise SaaS to fast-moving startups.
- AI + Security Innovation – Experience applying AI/ML to security challenges—automating access controls, detecting risks, and strengthening data protection.
- Cross-Functional Partner – Comfortable working side by side with engineering, security, GTM, and legal teams, blending technical know-how with product vision to ship great outcomes.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Staff AI Product Manager
Align your degree to the role
E-3 requires a degree directly related to the position, not just any bachelor's. A software engineering or computer science degree supports AI PM roles more cleanly than a general business degree, so frame your credentials around your technical foundation.
Target employers with LCA filing history
Search DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for product manager or AI-related roles. Repeated LCA filings signal a company already understands E-3 mechanics and won't treat your offer as a test case.
Use Migrate Mate to find sponsoring employers
Staff AI Product Manager roles with active E-3 sponsorship aren't always labeled as such in job postings. Migrate Mate filters specifically for employers willing to sponsor Australian nationals, so you're not wasting applications on companies that won't file.
Request the LCA before your start date
Your employer must file and receive a certified LCA from DOL before you attend your consulate interview. Certification typically takes seven business days, but confirm your employer has started this step at least three weeks before your scheduled appointment to avoid delays.
Clarify your role's specialty occupation standing early
Some hiring managers assume AI PM roles are straightforward to sponsor, but you'll need documentation showing the position requires a specific degree field, not just any bachelor's. Get a written job description that ties AI product management duties to your technical degree before the offer stage.
Streamline filing with a dedicated E-3 service
Once you have a signed offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork. This removes the risk of your employer's HR team filing incorrectly or missing the certified LCA requirement before your consulate interview.

Find Staff AI Product Manager JobsStaff AI Product Manager E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Staff AI Product Manager jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Most job postings don't advertise E-3 sponsorship explicitly, which makes standard job boards unreliable for Australian applicants. Migrate Mate is built specifically to surface roles where employers are willing to sponsor Australian nationals on E-3 status, so you can focus your search on companies already prepared to file the required LCA and support your visa application.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Staff AI Product Manager role qualify as a specialty occupation for E-3 purposes?
Yes, provided the role genuinely requires a bachelor's degree or higher in a specific field such as computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline. The degree requirement must be real and documented in the job description. Roles framed as general management with AI responsibilities added on are harder to support and may draw scrutiny at the consulate.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Australian Staff AI Product Managers?
The E-3 has a 10,500 annual cap that has never been fully used, meaning there's no lottery and no random selection. H-1B applicants face a lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate. For Australian nationals, the E-3 offers a predictable, repeatable path: you can renew indefinitely in two-year increments as long as you hold a qualifying role and your employer remains willing to file.
Can I change employers after starting on an E-3 as a Staff AI Product Manager?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific, so you can't start with a new company on your existing visa. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with DOL and you'll need to either apply for a new E-3 at a consulate or file a change of status with USCIS before beginning work. There's no portability period equivalent to the H-1B's 60-day grace window for this process.
