Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship in Supply Chain Planning
Match your degree to the role description
U.S. consular officers assess whether your Australian degree aligns with the specific planning function advertised. A supply chain management, industrial engineering, or operations degree maps cleanly; a general business degree may require supporting documentation linking your coursework to the role.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway shows which employers have previously filed LCAs for supply chain and operations roles. Companies with recent filings already understand the E-3 visa process, which shortens the sponsorship conversation significantly.
Raise E-3 sponsorship after a verbal offer
Bring up the E-3 visa after an employer expresses intent to hire, not during initial screening. At that stage, the employer's cost and administrative effort are minimal compared to H-1B visa, and most supply chain hiring managers haven't encountered it before.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for your LCA and paperwork
The LCA must be DOL-certified before your consulate appointment, and errors delay everything. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so your employer doesn't need to manage an unfamiliar government process independently.
Prepare a credential equivalency summary for your employer
Australian three-year bachelor's degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to U.S. four-year degrees for E-3 purposes, but your employer's HR team may not know this. A one-page summary citing USCIS specialty occupation standards prevents unnecessary delays during onboarding.
Confirm the role meets specialty occupation criteria before accepting
Not every supply chain title qualifies. Roles requiring a degree in a specific field, such as demand planning, procurement strategy, or S&OP analysis, pass the specialty occupation test more reliably than broad coordinator or generalist positions that accept any degree field.
E-3 Visa Supply Chain Planning: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find supply chain planning jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate lets you filter supply chain planning roles by E-3 visa sponsorship, so you're only seeing employers who have indicated willingness to sponsor. Searching broadly and then raising the E-3 in interviews wastes time; starting with a filtered list lets you focus your applications on companies already familiar with Australian visa processes.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
How does the E-3 visa compare to H-1B for supply chain planning roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery and no numerical cap, so you can apply at any time of year once you have a job offer. H-1B requires entering a lottery with roughly a one-in-four selection rate. For supply chain planning, both visas require the role to qualify as a specialty occupation, but E-3's open timeline makes employer conversations significantly more straightforward.
Does my Australian supply chain experience count toward E-3 eligibility if my degree is in a different field?
Work experience can substitute for education under USCIS rules: three years of relevant experience replaces one year of a four-year degree. If your degree is in a tangentially related field, documented experience in demand planning, inventory management, or S&OP analysis can strengthen the specialty occupation argument, though the closer your degree is to the role, the cleaner the application.
Can I change supply chain employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but each new employer must file a fresh LCA and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp if you travel internationally before the new employer's paperwork is complete. If you stay in the U.S. and don't travel, you can begin work with the new employer once their LCA is DOL-certified and you have a valid change of status approval. Plan the transition timeline carefully to avoid a gap.
