E-3 Visa Manufacturing Associate Jobs
Manufacturing Associate roles in the U.S. qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in engineering, industrial technology, or a related field. The E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap, making it one of the most accessible paths for Australian professionals moving into U.S. production and operations environments.

About Base
Base is America’s next-generation power company. We’re rebuilding the foundation of modern civilization–electricity–by deploying a vast network of distributed batteries that is transforming today’s fragile, centralized grid into a resilient and abundant system. We are engineers, operators, and creatives solving some of the most complex, interdisciplinary challenges of our time.
About the Role
We are seeking motivated and detail-oriented Production Associates to launch our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be on the front line of building the future of energy, working directly on our production assembly lines to manufacture our cutting-edge battery storage systems.
You will be responsible for the mechanical assembly of products, precisely following work instructions, and ensuring every unit meets our high-quality standards. This is an exciting, hands-on, physically active role that requires reliability, efficiency, and a commitment to safety.
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely while ensuring consistent output across all products.
- Assemble battery systems and sub-assemblies on a manufacturing production line, following detailed Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Perform visual inspections of parts and finished units to identify defects or inconsistencies, ensuring products meet quality standards before moving to the next stage.
- Load and unload materials onto the production line and assist with kitting job kits and organizing components to support smooth workflow.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation in accordance with 5S standards and comply with all safety requirements, including consistent use of required PPE.
- Identify opportunities to improve assembly processes and communicate suggestions to the broader team.
- Maintain flexibility to change shifts and work overtime as needed to support Base’s continued growth.
What You'll Bring
- Prior experience in manufacturing, assembly, construction, or a warehouse environment is preferred; experience using hand and power tools is a plus. A high school diploma or GED is required.
- Ability to stand or walk for the duration of a shift and lift 50–70 lbs, with comfort performing repetitive physical tasks such as stooping, reaching, squatting, kneeling, and crouching in a fast-paced environment.
- A strong sense of reliability and punctuality, with a work ethic that supports keeping the production line moving.
- Attention to detail and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions in English with precision.
- A collaborative, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and adapt; success depends on every team member contributing to the line.
- A desire to grow professionally by learning new technologies and developing new skills at Base Power.
Our Values
- First Principles Thinking: Question assumptions. Principles > rules.
- Operate at Base Pace: Focus on what matters, act quickly, and learn by doing.
- Give & Get Feedback: Be direct, be humble, and maintain a growth mindset.
- Everyone’s an Owner: Follow through on commitments and own results.
- Strong Opinions, Loosely Held: Drive clarity and make calls with imperfect information.
- Committed to the Mission: Rebuilding the grid is a big challenge. We work hard because we care deeply about the impact we’re creating. We work in-person. It’s not a 9-to-5. We are all-in.
- Fun & Optimism Coexist with Grit: Collaboration and celebration coincide with the intensity of building real things.
Do the best work of your life at Base.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Manufacturing Associate
Match your degree to the role
The E-3 visa requires your bachelor's degree to align with the specific Manufacturing Associate position. A degree in mechanical engineering, industrial engineering, or manufacturing technology gives you the clearest path. Unrelated degrees create LCA complications even with strong work experience.
Target employers already filing LCAs
Search the DOL's Foreign Labor Application Gateway for employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for manufacturing roles. These companies have already worked through the E-3 process and are far less likely to stall at the sponsorship conversation.
Address specialty occupation before your interview
Many hiring managers in manufacturing assume shop-floor roles don't qualify for E-3 sponsorship. Come prepared to explain why your specific role requires a theoretical and practical application of a body of highly specialized knowledge, which is the DOL's standard.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA
Once you have an offer, the LCA must be filed with the DOL before your visa application can proceed. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork so the process doesn't stall between offer and start date.
Confirm E-Verify enrollment before accepting offers
USCIS requires that E-3 employers complete the I-9 employment eligibility verification process. Confirming that your prospective employer participates in E-Verify before you accept an offer avoids onboarding delays once your visa is approved.
Get your Australian credentials formally assessed
A three-year Australian engineering or technology degree is generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor's degree, but consular officers sometimes request a formal credential evaluation. Having an evaluation from a USCIS-recognized organization ready before your interview removes that risk.
E-3 Visa Manufacturing Associate: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Manufacturing Associate jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It surfaces Manufacturing Associate roles where employers have a history of E-3 or similar visa filings, so you're not cold-applying to companies that will decline at the sponsorship conversation. Standard job boards don't filter by visa sponsorship history, which means most applications go nowhere for Australian candidates.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Manufacturing Associate role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is structured. A Manufacturing Associate position that requires applying engineering principles, process optimization methods, or quality systems knowledge tied to a specific degree field can qualify. Roles where any bachelor's degree satisfies the requirement, regardless of field, are harder to defend as specialty occupations. The job description language matters significantly when the consular officer reviews your LCA.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Manufacturing Associate roles?
The E-3 is available to Australian citizens only, but it has no annual cap and no lottery, meaning your employer can file at any time and approval doesn't depend on random selection. The H-1B visa has an 85,000-slot annual cap with a lottery that rejects the majority of applicants. For Australians in manufacturing roles, the E-3 is the more predictable and reliable path.
Can I change Manufacturing Associate employers while on an E-3 visa?
Yes, but the E-3 is employer-specific, so your current visa doesn't transfer automatically. Your new employer needs to file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need to either apply for a new E-3 visa at a consulate or, if you're already in the U.S., work with your new employer to establish lawful status. You generally cannot start with the new employer until that process is complete.
