Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Operations Coordinator
Translate your Australian qualifications accurately
A three-year Australian bachelor's degree satisfies the E-3 degree requirement. Get a credential evaluation if your transcript lists a different title, consular officers need clear evidence your qualification meets U.S. bachelor's equivalency for your specific operations role.
Target employers with active LCA filing history
Search DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for companies that have filed LCAs for Operations Coordinator or Operations Manager roles. Prior filings signal the employer already understands the process and won't stall at the sponsorship conversation.
Frame your job offer around specialty occupation requirements
The E-3 requires the role to be a specialty occupation. Ensure your offer letter specifies that a bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, not merely preferred. Vague job descriptions are the most common reason consular officers raise concerns at interview.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the LCA and paperwork
Once you have an offer, your employer needs a certified LCA before you can attend your consulate appointment. Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles the LCA submission to DOL, visa paperwork, and consulate preparation so neither you nor your employer needs to manage the process from scratch.
Negotiate your start date around consulate appointment availability
E-3 consulate wait times in Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth vary by season. Build at least four to six weeks between your offer acceptance and your proposed start date so your employer isn't pressured to reschedule if an appointment slot runs short.
Prepare for nonimmigrant intent questions specific to operations roles
Consular officers assess whether you intend to return to Australia after your E-3 period. For operations professionals, having documented ties, ongoing Australian professional memberships, property, or family, strengthens your case alongside your U.S. employment plans.

Find Operations Coordinator JobsOperations Coordinator E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Operations Coordinator jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for Australian professionals searching for U.S. roles with E-3 sponsorship. Standard job boards don't filter by visa type, so you can't easily identify which employers are willing to file an LCA. Migrate Mate surfaces Operations Coordinator roles from employers with documented sponsorship history, cutting out the guesswork.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an Operations Coordinator role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
It depends on how the role is structured. Operations Coordinator positions that require a bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field generally qualify. Roles where the employer would accept any degree, or no degree, are harder to support. Your offer letter and job description need to specify the degree requirement clearly, not list it as preferred.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for Operations Coordinator roles?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so there's no random selection standing between you and authorization. H-1B registrations for operations roles compete against hundreds of thousands of other applicants each March, with no guarantee of selection. For Australian nationals, the E-3 provides a direct, predictable path that the H-1B cannot match.
Can I change employers after my E-3 is approved for an Operations Coordinator role?
Yes, but the process starts fresh with each new employer. The E-3 is tied to a specific job offer, so your new employer needs to file a new LCA with DOL and you'll need a new visa stamp before starting. You don't need to leave the U.S. to change employers, but you do need the new documentation in place before your employment begins.
