E-3 Visa Tax Senior Associate Jobs
Tax Senior Associate roles in the U.S. require a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, which satisfies the E-3 visa's specialty occupation requirement. Australian CPAs and CA-qualified professionals are well-positioned for sponsorship, and the E-3 has no lottery, so a confirmed job offer is all you need to move forward.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a Tax Senior Associate
Get your Australian credentials evaluated early
U.S. employers and the DOL expect degree equivalency documentation for E-3 applications. Have your Australian bachelor's degree formally evaluated by a NACES-approved credential evaluator before you start applying, so there are no delays once an offer comes.
Target Big Four and national firm offices directly
Deloitte, PwC, EY, and KPMG all have established E-3 sponsorship workflows and dedicated immigration teams. Approach their international recruitment programs or Australian alumni networks rather than applying cold through general postings.
Check LCA disclosure data to confirm sponsorship history
The DOL's OFLC disclosure database lists every certified LCA by employer, job title, and wage level. Search for 'Tax Senior Associate' or similar titles to identify firms that have sponsored this role before and are familiar with the process.
Clarify your CPA or CA status upfront with hiring managers
Some U.S. tax roles require or prefer CPA licensure, which is a state-level qualification in the U.S. Your Australian CA designation carries weight but isn't automatically equivalent. Addressing this during the offer stage prevents delays in LCA preparation.
Don't wait for the offer letter to start LCA planning
The employer must file a certified LCA with the DOL before your visa application can proceed. Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork as soon as the offer is verbal, so the process runs in parallel with onboarding.
Negotiate your start date around consulate appointment availability
E-3 visa interviews at Sydney, Melbourne, and Perth can book out several weeks during peak periods. Once your LCA is certified, check appointment availability immediately and align your proposed U.S. start date to avoid breaching a firm offer deadline.

Find Tax Senior Associate JobsTax Senior Associate E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find Tax Senior Associate jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is built specifically for this search. It filters Tax Senior Associate roles by E-3 sponsorship history, so you're not wasting applications on employers who have never navigated the process. Standard job boards don't filter by visa type, which means most results are irrelevant for Australian applicants who need sponsorship confirmed before they accept.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does a Tax Senior Associate role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, Tax Senior Associate consistently qualifies. The role requires a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field as a standard industry requirement, which satisfies the DOL's specialty occupation definition. Most Big Four and national firm job descriptions explicitly require a relevant degree, which strengthens the LCA and visa application considerably.
How does the E-3 visa compare to the H-1B for Tax Senior Associate roles?
The E-3 has no annual lottery, no cap, and no registration fee, so you can apply at any time of year once you have a job offer and a certified LCA. The H-1B runs on a March registration window with a randomized lottery, which means qualified candidates are often denied without any review of their application. For a role like Tax Senior Associate that clearly meets specialty occupation criteria, the E-3 is a more reliable and faster path.
Can I transfer my Australian CA qualification to support an E-3 application?
Your Australian CA designation from Chartered Accountants ANZ supports the specialty occupation argument in your E-3 application, but you'll also need to demonstrate your underlying bachelor's degree in a relevant field. A credential evaluation confirming U.S. equivalency strengthens the LCA filing. Note that CA membership alone doesn't satisfy state CPA licensure requirements, which some U.S. employers require for client-facing tax work.
