E-3 Visa Auditor Jobs
Auditor roles in public accounting, internal audit, and compliance qualify as E-3 specialty occupations, making them strong candidates for visa sponsorship. Australian CPAs and CA-qualified professionals can apply directly at a U.S. consulate with an employer-certified LCA, bypassing the H-1B lottery entirely.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as an Auditor
Get your CA credential evaluated early
U.S. employers and consular officers need to see your Australian CA or CPA qualification mapped to a U.S. bachelor's equivalent. Order a credential evaluation from a NACES-approved body before you start applying, so you're not delayed after an offer.
Target Big Four and mid-tier accounting firms
Public accounting firms routinely file LCAs for auditor roles and understand the E-3 process. Regional mid-tier firms that audit ASX-listed U.S. subsidiaries often specifically value Australian-qualified auditors and are practiced with cross-border sponsorship workflows.
Search verified E-3 employer listings on Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to find auditor roles at employers with confirmed E-3 sponsorship history. Filtering by visa type saves you from pursuing companies unfamiliar with the process and cuts weeks off your search timeline.
Confirm the LCA wage level matches your offer
The DOL certifies LCAs at prevailing wage levels I through IV. For auditor roles, most experienced hires qualify at Level II or III. Ask your employer to confirm the wage level before the LCA is filed to avoid a mismatch that could delay or invalidate your application.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the paperwork
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service handles your LCA filing, DS-160, and consulate preparation end-to-end. This is especially useful when your employer's HR team has no prior E-3 experience and needs a specialist to drive the process from offer to appointment.
Prepare for specialty occupation questions at your interview
Consular officers sometimes probe whether an auditor role genuinely requires a degree in accounting or a related field. Bring your offer letter, the certified LCA, and documentation showing your role involves complex financial analysis, not just clerical bookkeeping.

Find Auditor JobsAuditor E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find auditor jobs with E-3 visa sponsorship?
Search Migrate Mate to find auditor roles at employers who have sponsored E-3 visas before. Because the E-3 has no lottery and no annual cap pressure, many accounting firms and corporate internal audit teams are willing to sponsor candidates they wouldn't consider for an H-1B. Filtering by confirmed sponsorship history is the fastest way to reach receptive employers.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
Does an auditor role qualify as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes. Auditing requires at least a bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a closely related field, which satisfies the specialty occupation definition. Roles in external audit, internal audit, and compliance audit consistently meet this standard. Generalist roles billed as auditors but requiring no specific degree can face scrutiny, so the offer letter and LCA should clearly describe the degree requirement.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for auditors?
The E-3 is substantially easier to obtain for Australian auditors. There is no lottery, no annual cap that can be exhausted, and no registration fee tied to a randomized selection. Your employer files an LCA with the DOL, you attend a consulate interview in Australia, and approval decisions are typically made on the day. The H-1B lottery means roughly a 25 percent selection chance in any given year, with no guarantee of a slot regardless of qualifications.
Can I transfer my Australian CA or CPA to support an E-3 auditor application?
Your Australian CA or CPA qualification can support an E-3 application as long as it's evaluated as equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree in accounting. A NACES-accredited evaluation agency provides the written assessment consular officers rely on. USCIS and consular officers both accept foreign degree equivalencies when the evaluation is from a recognized body and the field of study aligns with the auditor role.
