E-3 Visa X-Ray Tech Jobs
X-Ray Tech roles qualify for E-3 visa sponsorship when the position requires a bachelor's degree in radiologic technology or a related imaging science. Australian radiographers can secure two-year renewable E-3 status without entering an H-1B lottery, making U.S. hospital and imaging center roles genuinely accessible with the right employer and credentials in place.

Get Access To All JobsTips for Finding E-3 Visa Sponsorship as a X-Ray Tech
Verify your ARRT eligibility before applying
Most U.S. hospitals require American Registry of Radiologic Technologists certification or eligibility. Confirm your Australian qualifications map to ARRT primary-pathway requirements before your first interview, so sponsorship conversations start from a credible foundation.
Target radiology groups with existing LCA history
Search the DOL's Office of Foreign Labor Certification disclosure data for employers who have filed Labor Condition Applications for radiologic technologist roles. Prior LCA filings confirm the employer already understands E-3 sponsorship mechanics for your exact job category.
Find E-3 sponsoring employers through Migrate Mate
Use Migrate Mate to search X-Ray Tech roles filtered by E-3 visa sponsorship. The platform surfaces employers with active sponsorship history, cutting out the guesswork of cold-applying to facilities that have never sponsored an Australian imaging professional.
Get your LCA filed before negotiating start dates
The LCA must be certified by the DOL before your consulate appointment can proceed. Build at least two to three weeks of LCA processing time into your start-date conversation with the employer so neither party is caught short before your interview slot.
Use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service for the paperwork
Once you have an offer, use Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service to handle your LCA and visa paperwork end-to-end. Radiology credentialing documents, wage attestations, and DS-160 preparation all need to align precisely for a clean consulate outcome.
Address degree equivalency in writing before the interview
Australian three-year radiography degrees can satisfy the E-3 specialty occupation requirement, but consular officers may ask. Have your employer document in the support letter that a bachelor's-level imaging degree is the standard credential for the role.

Find X-Ray Tech JobsX-Ray Tech E-3 Visa: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I find X-Ray Tech jobs that offer E-3 visa sponsorship?
Migrate Mate is the most direct way to search for X-Ray Tech roles filtered by E-3 sponsorship. Most general job platforms don't distinguish E-3-willing employers from those who only know H-1B, which creates friction for Australian applicants. Migrate Mate surfaces imaging and radiology employers who have active E-3 sponsorship history, so you're applying to roles where the process is already understood.
How much does it cost to get an E-3 visa?
Migrate Mate's E-3 filing service covers the entire process for $499, including the Labor Condition Application, visa document preparation, and consulate appointment guidance. Traditional immigration lawyers charge $2,000–$5,000+ for the same work. The E-3 has less paperwork than most work visas, so paying thousands for legal help is usually unnecessary.
How does the E-3 compare to the H-1B for X-Ray Tech roles?
The E-3 has no annual cap and no lottery, so you can apply for a qualifying radiologic technologist position at any time of year. The H-1B cap is 85,000 slots annually with a randomised lottery, meaning many applicants wait years before getting a slot. For Australian X-Ray Techs, the E-3 is a far more predictable path to U.S. employment.
Does my Australian radiography qualification count as a specialty occupation for the E-3?
Yes, if the role you're hired for normally requires a bachelor's degree or higher in radiologic technology or an imaging-related discipline. Your employer must document this in the Labor Condition Application. Australian three-year radiography degrees are generally accepted as equivalent to a U.S. four-year bachelor's degree, but having a credential evaluation on hand strengthens your application.
Can I switch X-Ray Tech employers once I'm in the U.S. on an E-3?
You can, but the E-3 is employer-specific and not portable like some other visa categories. Your new employer must file a fresh LCA with the DOL and you'll need a new E-3 visa stamp before you can begin work. If your current visa has remaining validity, you may be able to time the transition carefully, but working for the new employer before the process completes is not permitted.
