Entry Level Early Childhood Teacher Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get an entry level early childhood teacher job?
Hiring managers at this level look for a completed early childhood education degree or CDA credential, hands-on practicum or student teaching hours, and evidence you can manage a classroom routine. A portfolio showing lesson plans, developmental observation notes, and family communication samples gives candidates a concrete edge. Applying to childcare centers, Head Start programs, and private preschools that explicitly welcome new teachers broadens your options quickly.
Which companies hire entry level early childhood teachers?
Companies hiring entry level early childhood teachers right now include Spring Independent School District, Poudre School District, and Bright Horizons Family Solutions, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. At this level, hiring comes from a mix of national childcare chains, independent preschools, nonprofit early learning programs, and public school districts with pre-K classrooms.
Are there remote entry level early childhood teacher jobs?
Yes, though most early childhood teaching roles are in-person by nature. About 4% of entry level early childhood teacher openings are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, and those positions tend to be curriculum development, early intervention coaching, or virtual tutoring roles rather than traditional classroom teaching.
Are these new grad early childhood teacher jobs?
Yes, the listings here include new grad, recent graduate, and junior early childhood teacher roles. A posting is new-grad friendly when it welcomes zero to two years of experience, counts student teaching or practicum hours toward its requirements, or accepts a strong portfolio in place of paid classroom experience. Searching for those signals helps new grad candidates find the right fit faster.
Which industries hire the most entry level early childhood teachers?
Entry Level early childhood teacher roles concentrate in Education, Healthcare & Medical Services, and Science & Research, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Those sectors drive hiring at this level because demand for credentialed teachers in infant, toddler, and preschool classrooms consistently outpaces supply, making employers more open to candidates early in their careers.
