- Multiple Subject Credential

- at least 24 units in early childhood education or child development, or both;
- professional experience in a classroom setting with preschool-aged children that a local educational agency (LEA) deems comparable to 24 units; or
- a Child Development Teacher Permit issued from the Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC).

What we offer teachers:
Oakland Unified has received substantial funding to support Grow Our Own pathway programs including Classified-to-Teacher, Maestr@s, and the Salesforce Recruitment & Retention Initiative for Middle Schools programs. We are invested in creating and maintaining affinity spaces for educators that support retention and socio-emotional support. We provide extensive professional development and training for experienced and new teachers , innovative curricula, ongoing mentoring and advancement opportunities. In addition to professional development and training:

Qualifications:
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, must be eligible for employment in the US and pass a criminal background check. Candidates must possess, or be willing to earn, a California teaching credential. Candidates must have two current professional references on file, including one from a previous supervisor. Candidates need to disclose every California school district, County Office of Education, charter school or state special school that they have worked for to satisfy AB2534 requirements.
