Join our dynamic onsite clinic team as a Night Shift Medic, providing essential medical services during evening hours from 7pm to 3am (hours open to change). Primary Duties

• Provide onsite first aid and immediate medical response for workplace injuries and illnesses.
• Assess employees following injuries such as sprains/strains, cuts, burns, contusions, eye exposures, and minor musculoskeletal complaints.
• Recognize medical emergencies and red-flag symptoms requiring EMS activation or higher-level medical care.
• Perform initial injury assessment, including vital signs, mechanism of injury, symptoms, and basic physical assessment within EMT scope.
• Initiate 911/EMS response and provide emergency care until additional responders arrive.
• Follow established tele-triage/escalation protocols when provider or clinical guidance is needed.
• Communicate with the onsite/occupational health clinic, Safety/HSE, supervisors, and designated medical providers as appropriate.
• Complete accurate and timely medical documentation and incident reports.
• Conduct follow-up assessments on employees being monitored during the shift.
• Assist with post-incident drug/alcohol testing according to company procedures when trained and authorized.
• Maintain and inspect first-aid supplies, emergency equipment, AEDs, and medical response bags.
• Complete appropriate shift handoff and communication for unresolved employee cases or follow-up needs.

Key Skills & Competencies

• Current EMT certification and BLS/CPR/AED certification.
• Strong emergency assessment and rapid decision-making skills.
• Ability to recognize when an injury can be managed onsite versus when it requires provider evaluation, urgent care, emergency department, or EMS.
• Knowledge of workplace first aid and occupational injury response.
• Strong understanding of scope of practice and ability to follow standing protocols.
• Comfortable working independently on night shift with limited onsite clinical supervision.
• Excellent documentation and written communication skills.
• Strong verbal communication with employees, supervisors, Safety/HSE, and medical personnel.
• Ability to remain calm and organized during emergencies.
• Comfortable using computers, electronic medical records, email, and incident tracking systems.
• Ability to learn and follow site-specific injury algorithms, escalation pathways, and emergency response procedures.
• Dependable, punctual, and capable of managing the clinic independently during overnight hours.
