Job Summary
We are seeking a Quality Engineering Architect to join our team. This role provides strategic leadership for software quality, test automation, and quality engineering practices. This role is responsible for defining and advancing the organization's quality strategy, standards, frameworks, and governance processes to ensure the delivery of secure, reliable, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions. The QA Architect partners with Application Development, Architecture, Product, Platform Engineering, Security, and business leaders to embed quality throughout the software development lifecycle. This role serves as a trusted advisor and technical leader, driving modernization of quality engineering capabilities through automation, DevOps practices, and emerging technologies, including AI-assisted testing and quality assurance.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Define and execute the quality engineering strategy, standards, and roadmap.
- Establish and govern test automation standards, frameworks, and best practices.
- Define quality metrics, scorecards, and reporting capabilities that provide visibility to quality performance and trends.
- Drive adoption of shift-left testing practices to improve quality early in the software development lifecycle.
- Integrate automated testing, quality gates, and quality controls into CI/CD pipelines.
- Consult on major technology initiatives, solution designs, and architecture reviews to ensure quality, reliability, and testability considerations are addressed.
- Coach and mentor quality engineers, software engineers, product teams, and technology leaders on modern quality engineering practices.
- Evaluate and recommend AI-assisted testing, automation, and quality engineering solutions to improve effectiveness and efficiency.
- Promote a culture of quality, continuous improvement, automation, and engineering excellence across technology teams.
- Partner with Architecture, Security, Platform Engineering, and Application Development leaders to align quality practices with organizational objectives.
Education Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
Years of Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software quality engineering, software development, test automation, or related technology disciplines.
Certification and Technical Requirements
5+ years of experience defining and implementing quality engineering, testing, or automation strategies.
Strong knowledge of Agile, DevOps, CI/CD, software testing methodologies, and quality engineering best practices.
