NVIDIA's invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing — with the GPU acting as the brain of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can perceive and understand the world. Today, we are increasingly known as “the AI computing company”. We are looking to grow our company, and grow our teams with the smartest people in the world.

We are looking for individuals who thrive in a dynamic environment, and are not afraid to roll-up his their sleeves and get their hands dirty. We desire a self-starter, with great communication skills; as well as a leader, with a deep sense of commitment. You will be responsible for developing wafer forecasts, schedule generation and management, supporting cross-functional teams, and mitigating any programmatic risks. You will also review and improve processes, and handle prototype demand.

You own silicon bring-up schedule from power on to production release
Negotiate silicon and board demand with teams and drive a bottom-up forecast
Oversee and manage chip and board allocations across the company
Lead prototype chip delivery to internal customers
Track and coordinate engineering deliverables, key milestones and qualification/validation tasks in the new product introduction phase
Identify and mitigate risks to schedules and programs
Communicate status to cross-functional teams as well as upper management

Create new and fix existing processes between different teams
Drive implementation of SW tools for data analytics and process evaluation

Strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to coordinate with multiple technical and business teams
Self-directed and driven, highly motivated, creative, and have a consistent record of handling multiple tasks at any given time
Have the ability to work independently and follow complex procedures

Engineering Manager Jobs in Santa Clara: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a engineering manager job in Santa Clara?
Santa Clara's engineering manager market is driven by semiconductor design, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise software, with hiring concentrated at the tech campuses along Central Expressway, Tasman Drive, and the Great America Parkway corridor. Candidates with experience leading hardware or platform engineering teams have the clearest edge here. Familiarity with chip development cycles, large-scale distributed systems, or SaaS product delivery makes a resume stand out to the employers that dominate this market.
Which companies hire engineering managers in Santa Clara?
Companies currently hiring engineering managers in Santa Clara include NVIDIA, Everpure, and ServiceNow, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Santa Clara's employer mix is especially dense with semiconductor firms, cloud platform companies, and enterprise technology vendors, many of which maintain large engineering organizations headquartered or centrally staffed in the city.
Are there remote engineering manager jobs in Santa Clara?
Yes, though engineering manager roles that involve hands-on team oversight, hardware lab access, or on-site sprint coordination tend to remain in-person. About 25% of engineering manager openings tied to Santa Clara are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting the city's mix of on-site chip and infrastructure work alongside more flexible platform and software roles. Platform engineering and SaaS-focused teams within Santa Clara companies are most likely to offer hybrid arrangements.
How can I get a engineering manager job in Santa Clara with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Santa Clara is moving into a technical lead or senior engineer role at one of the city's mid-size semiconductor or cloud infrastructure companies, where team leadership responsibilities often expand before a formal manager title follows. Santa Clara employers in chip design and enterprise software regularly promote from within, and rotational engineering programs at larger campus-based firms offer structured exposure to management. Building cross-functional project experience and demonstrating ownership of delivery timelines makes that internal transition far more accessible.
Which industries hire the most engineering managers in Santa Clara?
Santa Clara engineering manager roles concentrate in Technology & Software, Electronics & Hardware, and Law & Legal Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Santa Clara's position as a global center for semiconductor manufacturing, cloud computing infrastructure, and enterprise technology means these sectors generate consistent and layered engineering manager demand across product, platform, and operations functions.
