Position Overview
Our Client is seeking a highly experienced Product Architect to support enterprise IT operations, solution design, and application development. The selected candidate will work within a complex government environment, contributing to architecture design, system integration, and modernization initiatives across multiple platforms.
This role is part of a staff augmentation engagement under the Florida DMS State Term Contract for IT services.
Employment Details
- Contract Type: Staff Augmentation
- Location: Primarily Remote (On-site as required for meetings)
- Duration: Through June 30, 2025 (extension up to 12 months possible based on performance and funding)
- Start: Immediate joiners preferred
Key Responsibilities
Architecture & Solution Design
- Lead the design and development of enterprise-level application and integration solutions.
- Define high-level architecture including system components, interfaces, scalability, security, performance, and resilience.
- Develop architectural blueprints, prototypes, and proof-of-concept solutions.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend solutions aligned with business goals and technical constraints.
- Ensure architectural decisions support long-term scalability, maintainability, and modernization.
Stakeholder & Requirement Management
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, technical teams, and vendors to gather and refine functional and non-functional requirements.
- Translate business and customer needs into structured architectural solutions and system designs.
- Facilitate technical discussions and drive decision-making on solution feasibility and design approaches.
- Communicate architectural vision clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Technical Leadership & Delivery
- Provide technical leadership across development teams working on .NET, Azure, and enterprise integrations.
- Mentor developers and tech leads through guidance, code reviews, and best practices.
- Assist in estimating development effort and defining required technical skill sets.
- Oversee development of APIs, integrations, and system components using modern frameworks and cloud technologies.
- Ensure adherence to coding standards, quality guidelines, and architectural principles.
Agile & SDLC Participation
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, PI planning, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate with project managers to manage changing requirements and assess impact on architecture and delivery timelines.
- Support full SDLC activities from design through deployment and production support.
Quality & Compliance
- Define and enforce architecture standards and quality benchmarks.
- Ensure compliance with security, performance, and government IT standards.
- Review deliverables to ensure alignment with acceptance criteria and design specifications.
- Support testing strategies including performance, scalability, and integration testing.
Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of IT/software development experience
- 3+ years of architecture experience in enterprise environments
- Strong experience in .NET Framework, .NET Core, .NET Standard, C#, SQL Server
- Experience with REST APIs, OData services, and system integration
- Hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud deployment
- Experience working with authentication systems such as Okta or ForgeRock
- Strong knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies
- Experience designing cloud and on-premise solutions
- Strong communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
Preferred Skills
- Azure AD Federation Services, Active Directory, IIS
- Oracle and SQL Server databases
- Kendo UI, MVC, JavaScript, Bootstrap
- Shell scripting, YAML, XML
- SSRS, Visual Studio, MSBuild tools
- Experience in government or healthcare domain environments
