About Your Role
NEF is looking for a motivated, organized environmental professional to join our Southeast Florida team. You'll work on Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, and contaminated site investigations, with field sampling, tank closure assessments and preparation of Site Assessment Reports, Soil Management Plans, Remedial Action Plans, and other regulatory reports. If you have two or more years of Florida Phase I and Phase II consulting experience and you're ready for more project ownership, client contact, and a real path toward advanced project management, this is that next step, with a team that hands you real responsibility early and grows with you. What You'll Do
- Perform Phase I and Phase II Environmental Site Assessments, tank closure assessments, and contaminated site investigations, primarily for properties in Southeast Florida
- Collect soil, groundwater, sediment, and surface water samples at project sites
- Help prepare Soil Management Plans (SMPs), Site Assessment Reports (SARs), Remedial Action Plans (RAPs), Implementation and other regulatory reports
- Support contaminated soil and groundwater remediation work
- Work directly with clients and regulators, and produce clear, accurate technical documentation

What You'll Need
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, geology, environmental science, chemistry, biology, or a related field
- 2 or more years of Florida Phase I and Phase II assessment and report writing experience
- Strong technical writing, communication, and data evaluation skills
- Reliable, detail oriented, with solid time management
- Comfort working outdoors on project sites as well as in an office setting
- Current residency in Southeast Florida
Nice to Have
- Experience with SARs, SMPs, RAPs, implementation and other regulatory submittals
- Background in contaminated soil and groundwater remediation

Compensation and Benefits
Pay: $55,000 to $75,000+ per year, based on relevant experience
