Job Summary

KC Maintenance, Inc. is looking for a dependable, mechanically skilled Hot Beverage Equipment & Service Technician to join our growing Service Department.

This position will primarily focus on diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining commercial hot beverage equipment, including coffee brewers, espresso machines, bean-to-cup systems, and hot water dispensers. The technician will also assist with general commercial facilities maintenance and repair work as needed.

We're particularly interested in candidates with hands-on experience servicing commercial coffee and espresso equipment. While general maintenance experience is valuable, we're willing to train the right person in other areas of our service work.

We're looking for someone who enjoys troubleshooting, takes pride in their work, and is comfortable managing service calls independently. As our beverage equipment service business continues to grow, this position offers an opportunity to develop within a specialized area of an established commercial maintenance company.

Responsibilities:

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial hot beverage equipment, including coffee brewers, espresso machines, bean-to-cup systems, and hot water dispensers.
• Perform preventative maintenance, equipment inspections, cleaning, and servicing.
• Install, replace, and commission commercial beverage equipment.
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and plumbing components associated with beverage equipment.
• Read and interpret technical manuals, wiring diagrams, and equipment schematics.
• Identify equipment failures, determine appropriate repairs, and communicate findings and recommendations.
• Assist with general commercial maintenance and other service work as needed.
• Independently manage time on task with assigned service calls to meet client ETAs.
• Complete service reports, photographs, and documentation accurately and on time.
• Maintain company tools, equipment, inventory, and assigned service vehicle.
• Participate in scheduled on-call rotations and occasional after-hours or emergency service calls.
• Follow company safety procedures and maintain a clean, professional work environment.

Qualifications:

• Hands-on experience servicing commercial coffee, espresso, or similar beverage equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities.
• Working knowledge of electrical and plumbing systems.
• Ability to diagnose problems, identify solutions, and perform repairs independently.
• Comfortable using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to manage time effectively and work without constant supervision.
• Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to lift and move equipment weighing up to 50 lbs.
• Willingness to assist with general commercial maintenance work outside of beverage equipment service.

Additional Experience We'd Value:

• Manufacturer-specific training or certifications.
• Commercial restaurant or food service equipment repair experience.
• Commercial facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience troubleshooting water filtration, pumps, valves, heating elements, and control systems.

Compensation & Benefits:

• $23.00–$28.00 per hour, depending on experience and technical qualifications.
