Field Service Biomedical Equipment Technician - Las Vegas, Nevada

What You’ll Be Doing

As HERO’s Field Service Biomedical Equipment Technician in Las Vegas, you’ll independently support our hospital, clinic, and healthcare customers throughout the Las Vegas area.

This is not a position where someone will be looking over your shoulder every day. You’ll manage your schedule, respond to customer needs, troubleshoot equipment, coordinate parts and vendors, and make sure every service request reaches a successful conclusion.

You’ll be HERO’s face in the field, so technical ability matters, but communication, organization, reliability, and follow-through are just as important.

Your ResponsibilitiesField Service and Equipment Support

• Travel to customer locations throughout the Las Vegas area to perform biomedical equipment service and support
• Perform incoming inspections, acceptance testing, preventive maintenance, safety inspections, and performance verification
• Troubleshoot and repair a variety of biomedical equipment in hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare environments
• Respond promptly to customer service requests and communicate realistic expectations for resolution
• Coordinate with manufacturers, third-party vendors, and HERO leadership when additional support is required
• Maintain assigned test equipment, tools, and service materials in excellent condition
• Ensure all test equipment remains properly calibrated and ready for use
• Follow all applicable manufacturer recommendations, customer requirements, HERO procedures, and regulatory standards

Independent Territory Management

• Plan and manage your daily schedule based on customer priorities, preventive maintenance deadlines, and open service requests
• Work independently while keeping HERO leadership informed of progress, challenges, and customer concerns
• Take ownership of each service request from initial response through final resolution
• Identify and escalate safety concerns, recurring failures, and potential compliance risks
• Track parts requests, purchase orders, shipments, and vendor activity
• Confirm that parts are received, installed, documented, and properly billed
• Help ensure that completed HERO services are accurately captured for monthly invoicing
• Maintain an organized vehicle, tool inventory, and field service workspace

Customer Partnership

• Build strong relationships with clinical staff, hospital leadership, and customer representatives
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and respectfully, even when the environment is busy or stressful
• Provide customers with timely updates and never leave them wondering about the status of their equipment
• Explain technical findings in a way that is easy for clinical and administrative teams to understand
• Look for opportunities to help customers improve equipment reliability, safety, and service costs
• Deliver the kind of experience that turns satisfied customers into enthusiastic HERO supporters

Documentation and Compliance

• Complete accurate service reports, inspection records, time entries, and parts documentation
• Maintain current equipment information and service history within HERO’s CMMS
• Document equipment deficiencies, corrective actions, and recommendations clearly
• Provide Environment of Care documentation and reports when requested
• Assist with compliance walkthroughs, equipment audits, and survey preparation
• Ensure all assigned work is completed by the required due dates

Who You Are

• You have at least three years of experience servicing biomedical equipment in a clinical environment
• You have an associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology, Electronics, or a related field, or equivalent military training and experience
• You can independently troubleshoot and repair medical equipment without needing constant direction
• You’re organized, self-motivated, and comfortable managing a field service territory
• You understand that responsiveness and communication are essential parts of excellent technical service
• You take ownership, follow through on commitments, and close the loop with customers
• You can prioritize multiple service requests while meeting preventive maintenance deadlines
• You’re comfortable using Microsoft Word, Excel, email, and CMMS platforms such as TruAsset, TMS, or similar systems
• You have a valid driver’s license, a safe driving record, and the ability to travel throughout the Las Vegas area
• You can meet the physical demands of field service work, including lifting, moving, and accessing medical equipment
• CBET certification is preferred, but it is not required for a technician with the right experience, judgment, and service mindset

You’ll be successful in this role when our Las Vegas customers see you as a dependable extension of their team. Equipment is serviced correctly, preventive maintenance stays on schedule, documentation is complete, customer questions are answered, and open issues never disappear into a black hole.
