Summary
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Support the Sr. Director in delivering TFC’s overarching event experience strategy, ensuring all activations meet the quality bar and brand presence standards set at the leadership level.
- Serve as a primary event lead for the Sparks/3D brand portfolio, with flex support across Freeman, Studio Blue, and TFC signature experiences.
- Lead end-to-end planning and execution across the full event lifecycle: strategy, logistics, vendor management, brand team prep, brand storytelling alignment, onsite coordination, and post-event reporting.
- Collaborate with the broader TFC Events team (Sr. Manager, Events Managers) as well as cross-functional department liaisons as needed to ensure seamless resource deployment and consistent portfolio coverage across all brands.
- Design and execute elevated event experiences for agency clients, executive audiences, and VIP stakeholders, including C-suite dinners, proprietary client showcases, and flagship brand activations, where flawless delivery defines the standard.
- Bring a genuine agency mindset to every event: anticipating client and stakeholder needs, communicating proactively, and delivering at the highest level of professionalism and precision.
- Develop and steward immersive VIP showcase programs in close partnership with the Sr. Director.
- Build and maintain a curated vendor and production partner network capable of supporting luxury-level events with bespoke programming and hospitality elements.
- In partnership with the Sr. Director, establish, document, and continuously improve TFC event production standards and SOPs, creating a consistent operational backbone for the team.
- Develop event planning frameworks that ensure quality and equity across the full tier spectrum, from large flagship activations to smaller, high-touch executive events.
- Contribute to the intake process and quality assurance standards for brand event activations, working within the overarching framework set by Sr. Director.
- Build a cross-brand learnings pipeline, sharing innovations, vendor insights, and production best practices across the full TFC Events team.
- Manage all financial aspects of assigned events: contracts, room blocks, T&E, purchase orders, and budget reporting.
- Prepare executive-level event briefs, post-event debriefs, and ROI analysis to support data-driven investment decisions.
- Partner closely with TFC Marketing, Brand, Creative, Sales, and Communications teams to ensure event activations are integrated, on-message, and aligned to business objectives.
- Build trusted cross-functional relationships across the enterprise, with focus on Growth/Sales, Operations and Marketing partners across brands, serving as a proactive and reliable event partner.
- Represent the TFC Events function in cross-functional conversations, providing strategic recommendations grounded in operational expertise and event data.
- This role will grow with the team — initially focused on portfolio execution and cross-brand influence, with a direct report structure that expands as the function scales. Strong people leadership instincts are essential from day one.
- Provide mentorship and day-to-day guidance to Events Managers, supporting their growth and development in alignment with defined stretch opportunities.
- Model the standard for event excellence, bringing energy, accountability, and a culture of continuous improvement to everything the team produces.
Education & Experience
- Minimum 12+ years of progressive event management experience, with at least 3–5 years in a director-level or equivalent senior leadership role.
- Demonstrated expertise in agency-focused, high-touch, or elevated event programming, including executive client hospitality, VIP experiences, and premium brand activations.
- Proven track record leading complex, multi-brand or multi-stakeholder event portfolios from strategy through flawless execution.
- Experience building or formalizing event SOPs, playbooks, and operational processes in a growing or evolving team environment.
- Strong financial acumen with direct budget ownership, vendor negotiation, and ROI reporting experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in Events, Hospitality, Marketing, or a related field.
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), Certified Meeting Management (CMM), or similar industry certification preferred.
- Agency mindset with a client-first orientation, skilled at reading the room, managing expectations, and consistently delivering above them.
- Exceptional organizational and project management skills; able to manage multiple complex events simultaneously without sacrificing quality or detail.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and build trust at all levels, from Events Managers to C-suite executives.
- Creative, resourceful, and solutions-oriented, comfortable navigating ambiguity and building structure where little exists.
- Proficiency in event technology platforms, production tools, and onsite event management systems.
- Strong leadership presence with the ability to inspire, develop, and hold a high-performing team accountable.
- Operates with calm authority in high-pressure, high-visibility environments — equally composed managing a last-minute logistics crisis and hosting a C-suite client dinner. A genuine passion for live events and the elevated experiences that leave a lasting impression.
