Mid Level Executive Assistant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a mid level executive assistant job?
Position yourself around ownership and complexity, not just task completion. Highlight moments where you managed competing executive priorities, coordinated high-stakes events, or streamlined processes without being asked. Tailor your resume to show you operate independently, and be specific about the seniority of executives you have supported and the scale of work you have handled.
Which companies hire mid level executive assistants?
Companies hiring mid level executive assistants right now include JPMorganChase, Amazon, and Amazon Web Services, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Large corporations, fast-growing mid-size firms, and professional services organizations tend to have the most consistent openings at this level.
Are there remote mid level executive assistant jobs?
Yes, though many roles still require some in-person presence given the nature of executive support. About 15% of mid level executive assistant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, so candidates who prefer flexibility have real options without limiting themselves to a single metro area.
How do I move up to a mid level executive assistant role?
The path into mid level typically comes from building depth in your first few years: taking on more complex scheduling and travel logistics, owning projects from start to finish, and demonstrating sound judgment without constant guidance. Earning trust from senior stakeholders and showing measurable impact, such as cutting scheduling errors or managing a high-volume inbox, signals readiness to step up.
Which industries hire the most mid level executive assistants?
Mid Level executive assistant roles concentrate in Healthcare & Medical Services, Technology & Software, and Education, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to have dense leadership structures and fast-moving executives who rely heavily on experienced assistants to protect their time and keep operations running smoothly.
