Pay: $24.00 – $33.00 per hour (based on experience and qualifications)

Pioneer Diagnostic Labs is a growing CLIA-certified, high-complexity clinical laboratory serving physicians, clinics, home health agencies, and patients throughout Texas. We are seeking an experienced Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS) to join our laboratory team.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Immunoassay testing and be comfortable working independently in a fast-paced laboratory environment.

Required Instrument Experience

Applicants with experience on the following analyzers are strongly preferred:

• Ortho Clinical Diagnostics Vitros 5600 Integrated Chemistry System
• Sysmex XN-530 Hematology Analyzer
• Coagulation Analyzers (PT/INR, aPTT, Fibrinogen, D-Dimer testing)
• Immunoassay Testing Platforms

Job Responsibilities

• Perform routine and STAT testing in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, and Immunoassay departments.
• Operate, troubleshoot, calibrate, and maintain laboratory analyzers.
• Review and evaluate Quality Control (QC) and calibration data.
• Verify and release patient results accurately and timely.
• Perform instrument maintenance and documentation.
• Follow laboratory SOPs, quality assurance policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in proficiency testing, corrective actions, and quality improvement activities.
• Assist with inventory management and reagent lot validations.
• Maintain compliance with CLIA, COLA, CAP, OSHA, and laboratory quality standards.

Minimum Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Science.
• Minimum 2 years of clinical laboratory experience.
• Experience with Vitros 5600 chemistry analyzer required.
• Experience with Sysmex XN-530 or similar Sysmex hematology analyzers preferred.
• Experience performing coagulation testing.
• Strong understanding of QC, calibration, troubleshooting, and result verification.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• ASCP Certification (MLT or MLS).
• Experience in a high-complexity CLIA laboratory.
• Experience with laboratory information systems (LIS).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
