Field Operations Specialist Jobs in Boise: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a field operations specialist job in Boise?
Focus on Boise's strongest hiring sectors: utilities, telecommunications, and construction services operating along the Treasure Valley. Employers based in the Connector corridor and Meridian industrial parks hire field operations specialists regularly. Candidates with hands-on equipment experience, familiarity with Idaho's outdoor and infrastructure environment, and strong logistics coordination skills tend to stand out in this market.
Which companies hire field operations specialists in Boise?
Boise field operations specialist roles are posted by Hoffman Construction Company, Lam Research, and LotusWorks and others right now, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Boise's mix of utility providers, regional construction firms, and technology infrastructure companies keeps steady demand for this role across the metro area.
Are there remote field operations specialist jobs in Boise?
Yes, but with limits. Field operations specialist work is largely hands-on and site-based by nature, so fully remote roles are uncommon. About 10% of field operations specialist openings tied to Boise are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, reflecting employers who offer flexible scheduling for administrative or reporting duties. Coordination, scheduling, and data-entry components of the role are most likely to be performed remotely.
How can I get a field operations specialist job in Boise with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Boise is through field technician or operations assistant roles at utilities, telecom providers, or regional contractors operating in the Treasure Valley. These positions build the on-site coordination and equipment skills that lead directly to specialist titles. Boise employers also value candidates who have completed technical programs at the College of Western Idaho or have military logistics backgrounds.
Which industries hire the most field operations specialists in Boise?
Most field operations specialist openings in Boise sit in Electronics & Hardware, Manufacturing, and Consulting & Professional Services, per current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Boise's rapid growth in infrastructure development, along with its established energy and telecommunications presence in the Treasure Valley, drives consistent demand for specialists who can manage field teams and coordinate on-site logistics.
