Who's Hiring

Field Operations Specialist Jobs in Providence: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a field operations specialist job in Providence?
Target Providence's strongest hiring sectors first: utilities, healthcare logistics, and municipal infrastructure services concentrate the most openings locally. The Jewelry District and Wexford Innovation Campus draw operations-heavy employers, while Route 146 corridor companies handle equipment and field service work. Candidates with hands-on coordination experience, familiarity with scheduling or dispatch software, and a clean driving record stand out in Providence's mid-size employer market.
Which companies hire field operations specialists in Providence?
Employers hiring field operations specialists in Providence right now include Gilbane, Roche, and Ampelmann, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Providence's mix of regional utilities, hospital networks, and municipal service contractors makes it a consistent market for field operations roles year-round.
Are there remote field operations specialist jobs in Providence?
Yes, but only partially. Field operations specialist work is inherently on-site for hands-on coordination, inspections, and equipment oversight, so fully remote roles are rare. About 0% of field operations specialist openings tied to Providence are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, typically covering scheduling, reporting, or administrative coordination duties. Providence employers in healthcare and utilities are most likely to offer hybrid arrangements for desk-side components.
How can I get a field operations specialist job in Providence with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path in Providence is through field technician or operations coordinator roles at regional utilities and hospital supply chain departments, which regularly hire and train entry-level candidates. Providence's municipal service contractors and logistics companies also bring on dispatchers and field support assistants as lateral entry points. Earning a forklift certification, first aid training, or a commercial driver's license adds measurable credibility with Providence employers hiring at the entry level.
