Senior Level Field Sales Consultant Jobs: Frequently Asked Questions
How do I get a senior level field sales consultant job?
Employers at this level look for candidates who have owned a territory or book of business end-to-end, consistently hit or exceeded quota, and can point to deals they led from prospecting through close. Demonstrating experience mentoring junior reps, building client relationships at the executive level, and navigating complex sales cycles gives candidates a clear edge over those with purely transactional backgrounds.
Which companies hire senior level field sales consultants?
Companies hiring senior level field sales consultants right now include Cognizant, Huron Consulting, and EY, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. Hiring at this level tends to come from established organizations with dedicated field sales functions, including regional and national employers that rely on experienced consultants to manage high-value accounts and expand market presence.
Are there remote senior level field sales consultant jobs?
Yes, though many senior field sales roles still require regular in-person client engagement by definition. About 41% of senior level field sales consultant openings are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with hybrid arrangements being most common for roles that combine account management with field activity. Fully remote positions tend to focus on inside or strategic account responsibilities rather than traditional field coverage.
What makes a field sales consultant role senior level?
Senior level field sales consultant roles are defined by ownership of a full territory or named account portfolio, authority over sales strategy within that scope, and accountability for revenue targets without close supervision. These roles also involve mentoring junior team members, leading cross-functional pursuits, engaging directly with senior client stakeholders, and contributing to broader go-to-market planning beyond day-to-day selling.
Which industries hire the most senior level field sales consultants?
Senior Level field sales consultant roles concentrate in Consulting & Professional Services, Technology & Software, and Accounting & Auditing, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of July 2026. These sectors tend to drive hiring at this level because their sales cycles are complex, consultative, and relationship-intensive, requiring experienced professionals who can manage long-term accounts and influence high-stakes purchasing decisions.
