Commercial Laundry Systems Field Service Specialist
A day in the life
Your morning starts at home in Northern Georgia—ideally from a base in Northern Fulton County—reviewing your dispatch via phone and email/ticketing. First stop: a fitness center where a high-speed washer is throwing error codes. You diagnose electrical and mechanical faults, swap in the right replacement parts, and bring the machine back online. Next, you head to a hospital’s laundry where an ironer needs calibration, followed by a motel with a dryer that won’t heat. Throughout the day, you keep customers informed, coordinate parts with the service manager and vendors, and enter precise records of your time, materials, miles, and fuel.
By afternoon, you might jump in with our install crew to position and hook up new equipment, then finish the day by tidying your stocked, company-supplied service vehicle, updating your notes, and planning for tomorrow. Your friendly professionalism strengthens relationships that keep Alliance Laundry Systems Distribution growing.

Field Service Specialist Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a field service specialist in Georgia?
Most Georgia employers expect at minimum an associate degree or a technical certificate from a Georgia Technical College System program in electronics, electromechanical technology, or biomedical equipment. Biomedical-focused roles often benefit from CBET certification through the Association for the Advancement of Medical Instrumentation, which Georgia hospital systems recognize when screening candidates. Beyond credentials, Georgia employers prioritize demonstrated hands-on experience with the specific equipment families they service, so internships or co-ops arranged through technical colleges carry real weight.
Which companies hire field service specialists in Georgia?
Employers hiring field service specialists in Georgia right now include DaVita, Epson, and AMTRACO, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of October 2026. Georgia's concentration of manufacturing, healthcare systems, and logistics hubs means demand is distributed across the state, not limited to Atlanta alone.
Which Georgia cities have the most field service specialist jobs?
Atlanta, Lilburn, and Alpharetta account for the most field service specialist openings in Georgia. Atlanta dominates because of its density of corporate headquarters, data centers, and large hospital networks, while Savannah's growing port and manufacturing corridor and Augusta's medical and defense presence pull consistent demand outside the metro.
Are there remote field service specialist jobs in Georgia?
Yes, but they're rare. Field service specialist work is inherently on-site because it involves hands-on equipment installation, maintenance, and repair at client locations. About 0% of field service specialist openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of October 2026, and those roles tend to be in technical support, service coordination, or remote diagnostics rather than direct equipment servicing.
How can I get hired as a field service specialist in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is completing a technical program at a Georgia Technical College System campus, such as Georgia Northwestern or Southern Crescent Technical College, which have direct pipeline relationships with regional employers. Large Georgia operations like Siemens and GE Healthcare run associate-level or apprenticeship-style onboarding programs for candidates who hold a relevant certificate but lack field hours. Lateral moves from roles like HVAC technician, biomedical equipment repair aide, or IT desktop support are common stepping stones, and an entry-level CompTIA certification or an ETA Associate CET credential gives candidates a measurable edge.
Where can I find and apply to field service specialist jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to field service specialist jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings updated regularly. Search the listings, identify the roles that match your background and location, and apply directly to the ones that fit.
