Strategy Consultant Jobs in Georgia: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a strategy consultant in Georgia?
Strategy consulting in Georgia has no state-issued license, but employers consistently expect a bachelor's degree in business, economics, or engineering, with an MBA preferred for senior roles. Most Georgia firms recruit through Atlanta's major universities including Georgia Tech and Emory's Goizueta Business School. Building expertise in a Georgia-relevant sector such as healthcare, logistics, or financial services, combined with certifications like PMP or Six Sigma, strengthens candidacy significantly.
How much do strategy consultants make in Georgia?
Strategy consultants in Georgia earn a median of about $99,600 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $61,010 for the lowest 10% to over $172,850 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire strategy consultants in Georgia?
Employers hiring strategy consultants in Georgia right now include Capgemini, Thought Logic Consulting, and PwC, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of August 2026. Georgia's concentration of Fortune 500 headquarters and major healthcare systems in the Atlanta metro creates consistent demand across both independent consulting firms and in-house corporate strategy teams.
Which Georgia cities have the most strategy consultant jobs?
Atlanta, Georgia, and Rome are the Georgia cities with the most strategy consultant openings. Atlanta dominates due to its dense cluster of corporate headquarters, financial institutions, and consulting firm offices, while Alpharetta's technology corridor and Savannah's growing logistics and port-adjacent industries generate steady demand outside the capital metro.
Are there remote strategy consultant jobs in Georgia?
Yes, and more than most fields, since strategy consulting is primarily analytical and presentation-driven work that translates well to remote settings. About 75% of strategy consultant openings tied to Georgia are remote or hybrid as of August 2026, reflecting broad adoption of flexible arrangements. Project-based deliverable work and internal corporate strategy roles are the most consistently remote, while client-site engagements typically require in-person presence.
How can I get hired as a strategy consultant in Georgia with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to business analyst or associate consultant roles at Atlanta-area consulting firms or the corporate strategy teams of Georgia-headquartered companies such as Delta, Coca-Cola, or Intercontinental Exchange. Georgia Tech and Emory run recruiting pipelines that feed new graduates directly into these associate programs. Lateral moves from financial analysis, project management, or operations roles are common, and earning a PMP certification or Six Sigma Green Belt credential gives candidates a concrete edge in early-career applications.
Where can I find and apply to strategy consultant jobs in Georgia?
You can find and apply to strategy consultant jobs in Georgia on Migrate Mate, which lists current Georgia openings from employers actively hiring right now.
