Finance Analyst Jobs in Colorado: Frequently Asked Questions
How do you become a finance analyst in Colorado?
Most finance analyst roles in Colorado require a bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or economics. Colorado does not issue a state license specifically for finance analysts, but employers in the region consistently value the CFA credential issued by the CFA Institute. New graduates typically start in junior analyst or financial planning roles at Colorado's large corporate headquarters, healthcare systems, or energy companies and advance as they build modeling and reporting experience.
How much do finance analysts make in Colorado?
Finance analysts in Colorado earn a median of about $103,850 a year, based on May 2025 Bureau of Labor Statistics wage data, ranging from around $71,590 for the lowest 10% to over $171,570 for the top 10%. Pay rises with experience, specialty, and employer.
Which companies hire finance analysts in Colorado?
Employers hiring finance analysts in Colorado right now include EverDriven, S&P Global, and Res, based on current listings on Migrate Mate as of September 2026. Colorado's mix of corporate headquarters, defense contractors, and regional healthcare networks means demand is spread across multiple industries rather than concentrated in a single sector.
Which Colorado cities have the most finance analyst jobs?
The cities with the most finance analyst openings in Colorado are Denver, Boulder, and Lone Tree. Denver drives the largest share of listings as the state's commercial and financial hub, home to major corporate headquarters and financial services firms, while Colorado Springs benefits from a strong defense and aerospace employer base and Boulder attracts finance talent tied to its technology and startup ecosystem.
Are there remote finance analyst jobs in Colorado?
Yes, and more than most fields. About 92% of finance analyst openings tied to Colorado are remote or hybrid as of September 2026, reflecting how desk-based and data-driven this work is. FP&A and corporate reporting roles are most commonly offered with remote or hybrid flexibility, while roles requiring close collaboration with on-site treasury or accounting teams tend to stay in-person.
How can I get hired as a finance analyst in Colorado with little or no experience?
The most realistic entry path is applying to financial analyst associate or rotational programs at Colorado's large corporate employers, including the finance development programs that companies like Charles Schwab and Lockheed Martin run for new graduates. Adjacent roles such as financial coordinator, budget analyst assistant, or accounting associate at Colorado healthcare systems or government contractors also serve as practical starting points. Earning a CFA Level I pass or completing a financial modeling certification strengthens a candidate's profile when direct experience is limited.
Where can I find and apply to finance analyst jobs in Colorado?
You can find and apply to finance analyst jobs in Colorado on Migrate Mate, which lists current Colorado openings. Search the available roles, find the ones that match your background and preferences, and apply directly to the positions that fit.
