Focus your search on Madison's dense clusters of insurance carriers near the Capitol Square, the university-affiliated research and endowment offices around UW-Madison, and the regional banks and credit unions spread across the Near East Side and Middleton. Candidates who tailor applications to an employer's specific sector, such as insurance analytics or university fund accounting, consistently stand out over generalists in Madison's relatively tight-knit market.

About 0% of finance intern openings tied to Madison are remote or hybrid as of July 2026, with remote work most common in data analysis, financial modeling, and reporting tasks at larger insurance and technology employers.
How can I get a finance intern job in Madison with little or no experience?
